The Mets legitimately lost 2 of the 6 games they lost this post-season to the clearly better team that day. I'm not saying they definitely win all of the other four if Terry makes better decisions. The defense still has to catch the ball and the bullpen pitcher's he puts in still have to pitch, but Familia was near unhittable aside from the HR he allowed in Game One. If he's employed correctly (and that's really the only game he was) and Lagares correctly starts Game One instead of Johnson, then the Mets are probably somewhere between going back to KC down 3-2 to having won the damn thing last night.
I appreciate everything this team has done this year and can even forgive most of the physical errors. I don't even hate Terry as a person. He seems like a great guy and easy to root for, but strategically, he robbed this team of a chance to win a championship and most of the decisions were not even difficult ones. Everybody saw them clearly except for him. He even made a comment that his wife told him how to use Familia better than he had.
