Great season everyone , glad I could enjoy it all with you. Sad it had to end felt this was ment to be with all the turbulence and the Flores situation , Tejada , the Sweep of the Nats ect. Just so hard go get back to the world series but feel maybe the Mets were not ready or paid their dues. Royals played hard and got some breaks and lost a close series last year.
LGM can't wait for spring training

Sent from my crushed heart

Who said they are unwilling to spend

If Harvey just listens to his manager you guys have an awesome chance to be world series champs.

The thing is , 80% of Mets fans and 99% of casual fans wanted Harvey to start the 9th. The crowd did not help with him making an unbiased decision . Look through the game thread and maybe one or two of us wanted familia in.

Harvey coming in wasn't the problem. Harvey not being pulled after the leadoff walk was.

The Mets legitimately lost 2 of the 6 games they lost this post-season to the clearly better team that day. I'm not saying they definitely win all of the other four if Terry makes better decisions. The defense still has to catch the ball and the bullpen pitcher's he puts in still have to pitch, but Familia was near unhittable aside from the HR he allowed in Game One. If he's employed correctly (and that's really the only game he was) and Lagares correctly starts Game One instead of Johnson, then the Mets are probably somewhere between going back to KC down 3-2 to having won the damn thing last night.

I appreciate everything this team has done this year and can even forgive most of the physical errors. I don't even hate Terry as a person. He seems like a great guy and easy to root for, but strategically, he robbed this team of a chance to win a championship and most of the decisions were not even difficult ones. Everybody saw them clearly except for him. He even made a comment that his wife told him how to use Familia better than he had.

If the Mets offer Murphy the qualifying offer do you think he accepts it? It would be around 16 million.

Recently, both Stephen Drew and Nelson Cruz got burned by not signing it.

Not so much that he accepts it, but it gives Mets advantage in signing him as whoever does sign him loses a draft pick now. His value is higher now than it's ever going to be, so I don't think he accepts.

They have to sign Harvey. And if that douche isn't willing, then pitch him until his arm falls off.

Would also like to bring Murphy, Colon, Uribe and Johnson back, but would be bothered if none did.

Stephen Drew is terrible. Nelson Cruz ended up making out ok.

I think he finds some deal for at least 2 for 25. I'm more concerned that the team won't make a QO to him. Up until the post-season, the read was they would not.

Also, not comfortable with Reed as the setup guy going into next season if that's what they're thinking. Hopefully somebody emerges. For the first time in a long time, this team seems to have drained the bowl when it comes to pitching talent in their farm system.

If you think losing six million is making out ok, you must be quite wealthy

Well considering he makes more than that in half a season and is signed through 2018, I don't think he's losing any sleep.

Montero can be the setup man possibly

And I think Robles can improve

Mejia will be back in July and I'm sure he will be worthy of the 8th inning job if given the chance.
