So lets say I get on train at Ronkonkama, Do I need to switch trains at some point or does it just stop at the stadium on that line?

Yea I dont think I can take it. Shea-Willets Point Is a stop on the Port Washington Line. But I can't see how you get on the Port Washington Line from The Ronkonama Line. the only time they touch is at Woodside which is Employees only. So wtf?

I'm not sure what you mean by it's employees only. Lots of people transfer at Woodside for Mets games. Go to http://lirr42.mta.info/sfweb/faces/index.jspx and check out the schedules.

4 High I live in Ronkonkoma. I take it from Ronkonkoma to Shea all the time here is what you do.

You take it from Ronkonkoma to WOODSIDE in Queens. From there you take a train from Woodside to Shea, Woodside is on the Port Wahsington Line and is 1 stop away.

If the particular train from ronko DOES NOT stop at woodside, you need to take it to JAMAICA instead and take a transfer to woodside. both Xers are a couple minute waits at most.

Hillside Facility is the employee stop only to which you are referring, you don't get off there it has nothing to do with anything.

So Woodside Is a normal stop? Alright so Ronkonkama to Woodside to Mets/Willets and on the way home Willets/Mets to Woodside to Ronkonkama?

Is It just one round trip for all that or do we have to pay for more?

It is 1 round Trip. You never have to pay more because of Xers.

The Train from Ronkonkoma Round Trip costs 19, and its going up. Plus there are these stupid lots under the bridge by the meadow near the golf course and soccer field that you can park for free. Theres usually a shuttle bus that brings you to the Stadium from there. Its hard to find though.

I meant the Parking cost $18. I'm not going to park in odd under bridge lots in Queens. Besides It will save me gas money and the long ass time sitting in traffic leaving games.

in tomorrows baseball preview in sports illustrated, SI has picked the Mets to win the world series. pretty much can pencil them in for 77 wins now.

I was wondering who would be first to post that.
SI put the kiss of death on the Mets for sure.

Just what this thread needed. A whole ****-ton of cynicism even before the season starts.

We'll all be bitching and complaining after the first game anyway. Let's wait until then.

A few days of false hope?
I like that.

Maine pitched well yesterday, Ollie also looked good in his last start.

I think the Mets will do OK this season.

So, because I'm away the first week of the season - and may occasionally be out of town other times - I looked at the Major League Baseball TV thingy, for watching games on the internet. When you go to the site, they ask you to input your home area code. Upon doing so, I got the message that the Mets are subject to blackout rules, and so can't be viewed online (at least from the same area code that gets the tv coverage).

But what's to stop a person from simply using a non-local area code? If I tell MLB.TV that I live in California, could they stop me from using my computer in NY to view the game? Can their software easily ascertain my true location?

What is blacked out for you at any given time is based on your IP address. My guess is they are just showing you, for informational purposes, what is blacked out based on your anticipated location. For example, I can't watch the Mets at home, but if I'm in another city/country, the Mets are not blacked out for me.

In other news, is there a single solitary reason why Marlon Anderson made this club and is coming north?

Guaranteed contract, plus the possibility that last year's poor performance was due to injuries.

But I think that he'll be cut if he doesn't do well in the first 6-8 weeks.

Eff him. Put in a claim on Dallas McPherson to provide Branyan-esque big bopper threat off bench.

Omar is horrible at handing out guaranteed contracts to guys who would not receive a single guaranteed offer from any other MLB team.

Ollie and Maine both had excellent 5+ inning performances in the final spring tune-ups. Hopefully this has people coming in from the ledge a bit. Monday can't get here fast enough!!!

This avatar thing is really throwing me off. Marlon Anderson making the 25 man roster tilts me so much.
