Wright is in an important walk year. He will pull a Reyes and have his best season this year.

.317/.408/.552

walk year boosts, as well as "clutch" have basically been proven fiction by new age statistics, but i dont care, i still believe in them. I'm sure I'll be torn all season on whether or not to sign Wright long term. He's making $15m this season, what exactly is he gonna make anually after a long term deal? $18? if he has a mvp caliber season, 20?

If he has a big year he'll be looking for something similar to what Reyes got I would assume.

I believe that "clutch" is fiction, but no way I believe that about walk years. You see athletes in all sports step up in walk years every season.

He is absolutely locked in right now. He's had nothing but gorgeous ABs so far this year. If he stays healthy he's a legit MVP candidate.
Personally, I'd be far more willing to pay Wright $18-$20m than Reyes, who will spend 1/3 of the contract on the DL.

I'll be doing this every game, all players on active roster are eligible.

Season Standings:
Ike Davis (1)
Andres Torres (1)

I'd have given it to Bay. Atleast Davis contributes with his defense (a fabulous pick of a bad Wright throw). Davis is pressing, he'll get into a groove before too long.

Othan than Bay (who looks finished), there's lots of hope with this team. The bullpen is absolutely night and day from last year. Parnell in a lower-pressured role is blooming.

If the Mets stay healthy then can easily win 81+ games and push for the 2nd wild card.

Bay up with no outs and bases loaded. Triple play here.

I blame Bay for that.

Mets get a two-out, two run rally in the bottom of the fifth and with two on, Ike goes after the first pitch and pops up.

Yea Niese is pretty unlucky, he pitched great. There was an article that showed 25 starters with the best FIP stat which takes strikout, walk and homerun rate into account. Of those 25 from last year Niese had the worst ERA.

Here it is http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/met...tatistical-fit

Yeah, the only thing I don't like about FIP (and xFIP) is that assume that the pitcher has no control over batted balls. I prefer SIERA (Skill Interactive ERA), but his SIERA is pretty much in line with his FIP last year.
