Rubin had no choice, but he really agreed to keep the convo private? I would be like **** THAT OMAR, YOU WANT A WAR YOU GOT ONE. But now, any article he writes will be like "Was he nice because Omar has stuff on him" or "He was a dick because he is still pissed at Omar." Omar screwed him good here

Shake shack is good. If you've never been to the ballpark, get there a few hours early, eat, walk around

Also, there is still no mets stuff in the stadium. Rumor was there would be after the allstar break, but from what i read, still nothing

Dang it, Omar resigning was the first thing I thought of when I read press conference.

Omar still should resign. Bungling dork.

Glad to see this is a topic of conversation, as it's a pet peeve of mine.

It bothers me that in this age they still have concession stands where you have to wait an inordinate amount of time to get your food. I have gotten to that area of the stadium 90 minutes before a game to find the line at Shake Shack to be ridiculous.

They did such a good job with the concessions in other areas. For example, my seats are in the upper deck behind home. There is a food court back there that never has a line, and has picnic tables where we can sit and eat. While the food is ballpark food, it's fine, the people are uber friendly, and we never have a long wait.

I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that they didn't have any idea how popular Shake Shack would be. Hopefully for next year they will add some other Shake Shack locations around the park so that we don't have to march all the way out to the outfield in the middle of the game to wait on a line that has us missing multiple innings.

I'm sure they knew how popular Shake Shack would be; the one in Madison Square Park routinely has 1+ hour waits. Doesn't mean they're going to be adding more in the park; I'm sure they see scarcity as part of the appeal.

I agree with all of this, and am also willing to give the benefit of the doubt if the shake shack does open elsewhere(hopefully more than 1 location but even 1 other location would help).

I stood in line before the game my first time at the stadium, then realized that later in the game(like 6th-7th) the line is a bit more manageable. Now I've only really gone to day games so I don't know how late they stay open for the night games(the one I went to I was drunk and didn't eat in the stadium outside of the hot dog guy that walks around) but for the day games they were open until I think the 9th inning.

For whatever reason all the optimism I once had going into yesterdays game has dwindled to almost nothingh, I hate that last night was rained out. I'm getting that feeling that the Rockies are going to take both today.

While our GM is busy reluctantly firing half-wit friends who want to beat up AA players and taking on reporters who want to work for MLB, Rueben Amaro just made an awesome trade for the Phils. They get a Cy Young winner and give up their preseason supposed 2,3,4 and 10 prospects. The #2 prospect is hitting .235 in AAA this year, #3 has a losing record and an ERA over 5, #4 is hitting a respectable .296 but just one homer, and the #10, who is probably now rated the best of these guys is a 19 year old in single A ball, at least 2 or 3 years away from the majors. Excellent work by their GM, meanwhile we go from Steve Phillips to Minaya, God knows who the next incompetent will be that the Wilpons will hire. Misery.

Don't forget about Jim Duquette. I know it was only 1 year, but it was an important year(Victor Zambrano!!!).

Either way, 1st and 2nd no outs and 1 run in, big inning?

2-0 now, Santana help himself, lets go.

Edit: Oops, I jumped the gun, well Berroa is up now, DP here.(might as well be a pitcher)

LMAO, if I didn't know better I would say that was the Mets playing defense. Santana helps himself here with a sac fly, go go go go. A 5 run inning, thats all he is going to need today.

I do plan on getting there Friday a couple hours early to walk around. That's assuming I don't hit some massive traffic jams between Virginia and Queens. So if the line isn't too long I'll give the Shake Shack a shot. I guess I could always make my wife wait in line so I don't miss a couple innings and then deal with the consequences later. Haha.

If the line is too long I'll shoot for the tacos. Thx.

A 5 run inning, and then adding a run later in the game all with Santana on the mound.

Who the hell is this team?

Tonights game is a free game IMO. Already took 1 of the double header and 3 of 4, don't want to get greedy and demand another win....

eh, **** that, they better win tonight.

I was stuck in a federal prison waiting for my client for three hours.

I bet no one else has as good of an excuse.

We need to win this game if we want to play meaningful ball in September.

Come on Jonathan Niese is pitching tonight.
I do feel bad for the people who had tickets for last nights game and get to use them tonight. They bought tickets to see Johan start and instead get Niese. Talk about a bad beat.

I was stuck in 5 hours worth of meetings today at my job. Might as well be prison.

You need to reschedule these meeting around Mets games.
When do you leave Virginia for Queens?
