Never thought he'd be perfect... but that was almost all too familiar.

Not sure about that 1st base call in the 9th.

call was TERRIBLE. and wtf was phillips doing, is he on crack? god that was tilting. good that they pulled it out, but it shouldn't have been that close.

those are typical saves for krod.

extremely happy about the hitting with risp tonight.

big pelf did a solid job settling down after looking like he would only make it through 2 innings.

he was off the bag i suppose, but i still hate the call

SUB,

I can never replace you but I'll help post it up when it happens. Also, it was dollar drink night at the bar so basically everyone was hammered, they showed the Phillies comeback and obviously the whole bar goes nuts. Then the Mets highlights obviously come on immediately after those and the bar starts to boo. Long story short, its 1:20 and I'm back at my apartment after being kicked out of the bar. Worth it IMO.

Short turnaround. The game ended last night a few minutes after 11:00 pm and the teams conclude the series today at 12:30 pm. Gotta love 4 hour ball games.

Delgado and Beltran sure looked good at the plate so far. The bullpen looked adequate and Pelfrey luckboxed his way to a win. What more can I say??

I was a little surprised that Jerry used Anderson as pinch hitter instead of Sheffield. Then I heard this morning that Sheff still hasnt gotten into game shape. Not sure how that is possible considering he had a spring training with the Detroit Tigers..but whatttevvvvaaaahhhh...

Let's go Mets !!!!

I think the Anderson vs. Sheffield as a PH last night had to do with a) there was a RH pitcher and b) Jerry wants to see what if anything they can get out of Anderson before Saturday.

Good point. According to Keith and Ron the Mets will need to move someone to make way for the fifth starter. Chances are Marlon will be the odd man out.

All signs point to Marlon Anderson. But Reed could also be an option as they can send him to Buffalo. I would hate to see that since his bat certainly isn't worse than Anderson's and his fielding is infinitely more valuable. Option #3 would be to only carry 6 arms in the bullpen. That would mean Parnell goes to Buffalo or they offer O'Day back to the Angels.

We'll find out in 2 days.

I hope Reed will stay because of his defensive ability.
I do not think the Mets will go with 6 arms in the bullpen.

Look for Marlon to go.

Yeah, with Cora and Reed already hitting from the left side off the bench I'm not sure what purpose Marlon Anderson serves.

K-Rod not available today, so Putz will serve as the closer if the Mets need a closer.

Ollie needs to go longer than 5 innings today.

Lets go Mets!!!!

I'm at work and can't watch...why is K-Rod not available? Cause he threw 30 pitches last night?
