I was in class taking a test following the game on my blackberry. I almost cursed when I saw Wright thrown out at home after all that garbage we went through last year with the 3rd base coach. Either way, No Schowen****** and Heilbum to blow games makes me .

Ollie is bound to have at least 4 or 5 games where he is literally unhittable. So 122-40 sounds better to me(I'm preparing for Maine's dead arm to come in around early August).

Also, I'm literally giddy right now...I missed baseball. Yay for happiness and me likely considering suicide multiple times during this season!

If that was a shaky win, I'd hate to see what a really dicey game is like.

the good: if this was last years bullpen we lose this game 5-2

the bad: all those runners LOB, reminds me a lot of last year.

Nice win for the mets. Putz takes about 10 minutes between pitches though, and it bothers me. Murphy is siiiick

A win is a win. With that being said, this team did leave way too many men on base. Thats the fear a lot of us had when Omar did not improve the lineup. Hopefully the pitching staff is good enough this season to win games where the bats are not hitting.

Murphy seems to be the real deal. Omar and Jerry have both publicly said they love this kid. I can see why after watching his approach at the plate. I can see Murphy hitting around .280-.300 with 20 homers and 80 rbi.

Love Daniel Murphy. He has the plate discipline of a 10 year vet.

Being in South Korea sucks for Mets fans.

Slingbox + DVR. My brother was there in 2007 and set up a slingbox at our parents house before he left. After he woke up at 10 or 11 he'd watch the game on his computer. He worked at a hagwan (sp?) though and didn't have to be in work till like 2pm M-F.

I'm not too worried. Obviously it's one game, but I'd be more concerned if guys weren't getting on base in the first place. It's not as if all LOB were laid at the feet of Schneider and Castillo yesterday. The core guys had their fair share too. When the weather warms, so will the bats.

I have neither of them and probably never will. I also work from 8:30-4:30. If I wake up early on a weekend (lol), I might be able to catch a game through TVU or Sopcast.

Agreed. The Mets had 9 hits and 7 walks yesterday. They keep getting on base like that they'll score a lot of runs and get to the opposing teams bullpens earlier in the game. I'm not going to be worried about this teams offense until they really give us a reason to worry.

I read an article about him by a former employee who worked on his magazine. I forget which forum, but I'm pretty sure it was a sports related one.

Long story short, it seemed like a cushy job until the guy didn't get paid and Lenny was asking him for his credit card so that he could take a private plane to see his son's baseball game. Lenny was basically using other people's credit cards, money, etc. for the past few months (this story was from last summer) and in a nutshell, Nails is portrayed as not much more than a con who likes to rewatch his own segment from Real Sports while being pretty much the opposite of how he is portrayed.

The one minute or so delay between mlb tv and espn yesterday was pretty annoying since I routinely F5 this thread during games. Whatever I guess.
