Bread's Projected 25-man Roster:

C: Schneider
1B: Delgado
2B: Castillo
3B: Wright
SS: Reyes
LF: Murphy
CF: Beltran
RF: Church

Bench: Castro(R), Cora(L), Tatis(R), Reed(L), Pagan(S)
(yes Pagan bitches! ~ Marlon Anderson gets cut imo)

Rotation:
1 - Santana
2 - Perez
3 - Pelfrey
4 - Maine
5 - Redding

Bullpen:
CL: K-Rod
RH: Putz
LH: Feliciano
RH: Green
RH: Stokes
RH: Sanchez
RH: O'Day (darkhorse rule V pick imo)

To sum up my thoughts on the offseason real quick: I like the huge change in the bullpen. I like that Castillo reported to ST in great shape and is on fire for his first 5 at-bats. I like that Omar has brought in a little extra SP depth (Redding, Garcia, Livan + Niese, Parnell, Figueroa and Armas still). I don't like that they didn't give Lowe that extra year he wanted.

Anyway, spring training has started. The season is right around the corner. Discuss.

They can't get Castillo out and Reyes with the grand salami. Does Jerry know how to push the right February buttons or what!

Also lol @ me and smiglet being banned from making the thread, . I hope WB's better luck. Should have gotten one of the Giants fans to start it IMO.

Best of luck to you guys this year. As a Marlins fan, Im worried more about you guys than the Phils.

I'd like someone to answer a question for me though:

Why is it that Oliver Perez pitches like complete **** against everyone else, but when he faces Fla he's unhittable?

*Note: can replace Ollie with Moyer if you're a Phils fan

Jose Reyes 2 dingers and 6 ribbies today, eh? I, for one, welcome our new #3 hitter!

One more carpet bomb of the thread. Who is most likely to have the most posts? Smiglet or Suigin are the clear favorites IMO. Jordan and Niss would be the next on the list. My vote is Suigin to hold it down again this year.

Because the Marlins make everyone look like an all-star?

I consider myself and BrettRBrett the dark horses for most posts in this thread.

He pitches better against the Yankees, Braves and Phillies. Don't take it personally. It seems he just gets up for the big rivalry/division games. He has been downright terrible against the Nationals: 41.1 IP, 6.53 ERA. If the Nats ever get good, he will start to pwn them too.

If the Mets have a good season and win the division, the odds on me having the most posts are 25-1.

If the Mets struggle and/or choke again, especially in the bullpen, the odds on me having the most posts are 1-9.

Bobbo would have a chance if this team still had Glavine or his children on it. Otherwise I don't think he is much of a dark horse.

I could have likely easily doubled my post count in here last season but I usually got to angry or didn't want 4 or 5 back to back posts with me talking to myself(that happens often enough). Also once football season kicks in my attention span is like that of a 5 year old.

I seriously feel a surprising amount of optimism for this season.

This coming from a normally pessimistic Mets/Jets fan.
