Bring in an interim guy for a year. Go get Hinch when his suspension ends.

Astros cheat. Red Sox cheat. Mets get punished for hiring a guy who worked for the Yankees doing who knows what last year. Yankees end up without a scratch on them.

If the Wilpons sell to Sheldon Adelson, there is no fate too harsh for them.

I'd rather see Balco personally buy the Mets with A-Rod.

I'd rather MLB never come back than Adelson.

My nearly 40 years as a Mets fan would immediately end if Adelson were to buy the team.

3-4 losses pear year that teams typically suffer 1-2 times per decade. This isn't even an exaggeration. Has a team in 30 team history ever gone a moth 7th in OPS and 22nd in runs.

Diaz' ERA is 2.77 and might as well be 5 million. Has any player in any sport in history ever failed a team worse?

When i first started watching baseball as a teenager, Seaver was the broadcaster. I know his work in that respect for the Mets is generally considered bad but it's how I 'know him' in my own way. End of an era.

Seaver was not a fantastic broadcaster, and didn't enjoy it much he said after. But he was an amazing pitcher

So Mr Money Bags first move is bringing back the conservative GM that MLB basically assigned to the Mets a decade ago because they needed to be more fiscally responsible. Cohen says they share the same team building philosophy.

On the other hand, a lot of guys needing extensions in the next few years are Sandy drafted, so maybe he’ll feel more attached to them. Plus we’ve never seen how Sandy might act with a larger checkbook. He’s basically made a career of building teams on small to medium budgets.
