I stood up when he was left all alone going for that 3 in the corner at around the 6 minute mark in the 4th. Put up my arms ala "The field goal is good!" as the ball was in mid-air. Let out an audible "Yeeaaaa" as it swooshed thru the net, while simultaneously giving a fist pump.

And I'm not even a Knicks fan.

This kid is the spark you guys needed. I cant help rooting for him. Something about him, not sure what, but he's got "it".

Just saying he's been trying to buy Dantoni's system and could actually play really well with a legit PG putting him back to his more natural positions at like 2.5.

With Amare at 4 and Chandler at center, Lin's gonna have 3 scoring beasts to dish to.

Shumpert can make up for some of the defensive shortcomings. Fields been doing well defensively but it's hard to overlook how natural Shumpert looks on defense.

Is there anyway to watch tonights game on streaming over the web?

Tonight is actually probably a bigger test for Lin. Rubio's smart, fast and way better than Fisher at this basketball thing.

That and it's gonna be the first away game (Lol Washington had more Lin fans than wizards fans)

Well deserved two days off.

im facing a conundrum next year when the nets come to brooklyn. been a knicks fan all my life and lived in brookyln all my life. dont think i have it in me to root for
2 teams and i dont think illbe ableto give up the knicks. anyone else in this spot?

you can start liking the nets too, but if you're a die-hard knicks fan they will always be #1 no matter how hard you try

Some non-Lin notes:

-Fields/Shump both look really really good. Obviously this is relative but, both are playing exceptional on the ball defense and both look really comfortable in the flow of the offense with Lin running the point. We've seen this from Shump but, there were sometimes when our sets would break down and Fields would run the PnR with Chandler and created some pretty good looks for himself and had some pretty nice passes. Shump still clowns it up sometimes shooting some bad shots early in the shot clock but I think he's really coming around.

-We got killed on the glass tonight. I'm not sure how much stock should be put in this one game since Love & the Wolves attack the offensive glass an unusual amount but, Tyson 1) needs to do a better job of protecting the defensive glass 2) needs help.

-Our team defense is pretty nice. Lin/Fields/Shump are all great on the ball defenders on the perimeter and Jeffries/Chandler are good on the interior. Huge improvement.

-It's still insane to me that we played an average team on the road and:
1)Melo/Stat DNP
2)Love/Pekovic were spectacular
3)Jeremy Lin was our starting PG and played 39 minutes and was 8-24.

and we still won. I'll say it again, NOTHING seemed to go our way all night, balls just rolled off the rim for us and rolled in for them, they robbed us of two ft's, and we eeked out a really nice team victory. The really good thing is if Melo and Amare can fit into this offense (lots of Lin/Amare PnR's with Lin making all sorts of skip passes and creating for everyone) then we don't need Lin to come close to sustaining this offensively. All we really need is a PG who can run the PnR (which he's proven he can do effectively with much worse talent) and keep turnovers down (still yet to be seen) and shoot efficiently (his jumper has really improved the last few games and he's shown, outside of the 2nd half of the Minny game, a real ability to finish around the hoop and he's a good ft shooter). I don't want to get too ahead of myself but I'm really excited to watch this team develop the next few months, I hope they don't let me down.

Shumpert commented in the post game with Lin in the game, he can focus on just getting to the basket.

He basically said he's a 2, not 1.

Tyson was in foul trouble all game. Just not much he could do
