New York Knicks: You trying to get the pipe? New York Knicks: You trying to get the pipe?

i noticed shumpert likes to double on a guard whos just kinda standing there outside (half assed trap? no idea)

leading to his man being wide open

leading to a mad scrambling defensive rotation which leads to a layup

i have no idea why he does this but im going to blame dantoni.

what a clown
Amare has proven he has range from there to make that shot, and has made that shot in big spots in the past. I really did not see anything wrong with that play call. He was 10 of 23 last year.

I know it's not a popular idea, and he looked lost yesterday, but Balkman should get more minutes. Jeffries has been playing 20 awful min per game, in which he misses a few jumpers, gets outrebounded, and is otherwise invisible. Balkman can stand out sometimes with bad plays, like his two failed drives yesterday, but he's actually a good rebounder and can create some chaos on defense. Give Jeffries' minutes to Balkman.

He looks totally spent after just little over 20 minutes.

We still need another PG... but yeah, Lin would be great as backup even if Baron Davis comes back.

All that said, I think he's gonna start next game with the performance he's putting up today.

PS: at this point, don't pull him. Let his adrenaline carry him. He's not getting back up if he sits down.

I don't think he's that fatigued. He hasn't been taken out in a while he's played with just as much energy.

The knock on him is that he's not much of a jumpshooter. But who cares, no one else on this team can shoot either. I know the Nets suck but he's very solid and if nothing else plays full speed while he's on the court. We could use that.

Right, still, 30 minutes avg with condensed schedule is a lot to ask from someone who has never played 30+ minutes at NBA.

But then again, he did spend a lot of time in D-league and he could be in much better shape than I think.

I just realized Jeremy Lin might have just saved Dantoni's job.

Lin's our starting PG (hopefully he plays well enough to keep the job)

New York Knicks point guard Baron Davis has had a "setback" in his recovery from a herniated disc. The Knicks do not expect Davis to return until after the All-Star break. The NBA All-Star game is on Feb. 26, 2012.
