I'd maybe move Fields to SF, and start Garbage at SG.

Biggest problems with Knicks:

1. Role players not hitting open shots. Last night shows how big hitting open shots is. A week or so ago I saw a stat that the team is shooting ~30% on open jump shots that is AWFUL.

2. PG

3. Amare

4. Melo's injury problems causing him to go from playing awesome to terrible.

Melo getting way too much blame for the Knicks struggles.

We need a PG. The Heat was double even triple teaming Amare and Amare's not at the point where he could deal with that, especially without a PG.

The shots the knicks were taking in the second half were absolutely horrible.

the knicks traded the rockets their 2012 1st rounder and 2015 and 2016 2nd rounders for mcgrady. the 2012 1st rounder is only top 5 protected through 2015 i believe.

I know a couple Knick fans IRL that pretty much blame this whole mess (and the last couple years) on D'Antoni. Is that the general sentiment amongst most Knick fans? Do most Knick fans blame D'Antoni for this start to the season? Or does Carmelo's injury/play/lack of play come into this? I know the Knicks are lacking in the PG position, but I haven't heard a single Knick fan IRL mention that as their biggest problem for the season so far.

It seems that D'Antoni's coaching and Carmelo are the biggest talking points, lack of defense obviously being the biggest complaint about the former.

Defense has actually been coming along.

Dantoni is definitely at fault, don't forget he has input on recruiting too (making him partially responsible for lack of PG).

PG wouldn't be as big of a problem if Dantoni's more flexible with his "system."
