Our spacing is awful. We need more 3 point shooters because this iso based offense just sucks

The Knicks don't even have their own 2012 Draft Pick:

Quote:
2012 first round draft pick to Houston
New York's own 2012 1st round pick to Houston (top 5 protected in 2012, top 5 protected in 2013, top 5 protected in 2014, and top 5 protected in the 2015 Draft). If Houston does not receive a 1st round pick from New York by the 2015 Draft, then New York will convey their own 2015 2nd round pick and 2016 2nd round pick to Houston. [Houston - New York - Sacramento, 2/18/2010]
It's only top 5 protected.

Stephen A Smith reporting the Magic have contacted the Knicks about trading D-12 for Amare and Chandler. Sounds like a no brainer to me if the Magic are really willing to make that deal. D-12, Melo, and Baron Davis will give them a more conventional offense and allow for better spacing. Dwight doesnt really need the ball on offense to get 20, he will just go get rebounds from Melo's 20+ misses every game and put them back.

wow.

id snap call that trade

who the hell would play the 4 tho, jeffries?

I guess a rotation of Jeffries/Harrelson would have to be what they go with for now if they made the trade, it would create some problems obviously but i think overall it would help the team this year and increase the chances of getting Derron Williams this off season by like 1000%

lol--the deal is clearly way too good to be true and i don't even think James Dolan is stupid enough to not jump at it.

We get off of Amare's 100mm uninsured contract, free up cap space AND get the best player in the trade? lol yeah just seems ridiculous.

From the Magic perspective, you get Amare who when healthy last year was playing as good as any big man in the league offensively before the Melo trade, and a guy in Chandler who is desired around the league because of his defensive ability. If they dont want to keep both they can flip Chandler for some decent younger talent, and having Amare with the ability to run the pick and roll with Jameer Nelson it keeps them as a playoff team in the east right now, and if they can add to that they arent to far away from the 3rd or 4th best team in the east which is what they are now at best anyway. Its not ideal for them, but neither is losing Howard and getting nothing back, or trading him for almost nothing just for the sake of trading him. Getting two starters the caliber of amare and chandler is better than a lot of teams in their spot can hope for, even with the amount of money they would have tied in them, bc just losing dwight and going for free agents isnt going to work either considering Orlando wont be that attractive to the big name free agents compared to the teams they will be competing with.

i don't understand, what happened to a bynum for howard type swap? if the magic are about to lose dwight for free theyll just go ahead and do that, no?

Also, Brook Lopez (assuming he returns next month) and multiple first round picks has to be better longterm for orlando then an amare/chandler deal

multiple first rdpicks wont mean anything if youre getting them from a team w. deron/d12

Knicks big man Josh Harrellson had successful surgery on his broken wrist Tuesday and will be sidelined for approximately six weeks.
In other news, Knicks are blowing out Charlotte and CarmeLOL has One point on 0-7 shooting.

sorry

I am not sure if this is actually true but it seemed to me Douglass and Shumpert passed more frequently to the Cavs than to Amare or Melo.

well at least baron should be making his debut soon so theres that, after he comes back bibby should be cut. cant shoot, doesnt get assists and hes a defensive liability. no idea why hes out there.

shumpert needs to ride the pine or somethin cus he has no clue what a PG is supposed to be doing out there. the boy is shooting 35% and 30% from 3pt... i mean christ...

this is the key.

Shumpert and Douglas are undoubtedly more athletic but Lin is probably the only player on our roster that knows how to play PG.
