Shumpert's injury is really unfortunate. He showed some promise despite being a little too trigger-happy. Word is they are searching for a PG stopgap (not named Nate Robinson) while Shumpert/Baron/Bibby are all recovering from injuries. Jeremy Lin just got cut by the Rockets today after they signed Dalembert...

they clearly need some depth at guard, and they arent going to be able to rely on melo to take over the offense for 12 minute stretches all year. If he is 70% of what he used to be and is willing to accept the role, i think Gilbert Arenas would address both of those problems, but having to many big personalities in NYC can definitely be a big problem so we will see if that could ever happen

Melo went 3-13 tonight, which cant happen. The first Q I also witness at least 2 maybe 3/4??? passes to Melo and he wasn't even looking, straight into his chest/body...WTF. D'antoni even mentioned it in post game interview.

Fields also had 8 pts in the 1st Q and ended the game with 14 pts being tied with BILL WALKER and only 2 pts behind STAT for team lead.

I only watched the first half on Wed night and it was one of the worst halves of bball I can remember seeing, by both teams. Watched the rest yesterday, NY went from awful to beyond awful. Fields had a rough game, started off with some good plays and I'm thinking, ok that's the Fields we're looking for, but he couldn't do anything right in the 2nd half, especially on defense. Ellis was killing him.
