New York Knicks: You trying to get the pipe? New York Knicks: You trying to get the pipe?

Anyone else been watching "1994 March to the Finals" on MSG? If we don't get a new season, I'm going to catch more of these games and just pretend it's the current season.

Starks is pretty brutal. Maybe I've caught some of his bad games but he's a disaster out there. Bad jumpers, out-of-control drives ending in missed layups, turnovers all over the place.

Oakley's fun to watch. Battling every play, getting knocked down, showing frustration after bad calls (I hope they never change the rules and start giving technicals whenever someone shows a bit of frustration). He does play a little dirty though. He picked up one of the first of these "flagrant fouls" that they've added this year.

Looks like we're in the playoffs already, tonight's game 2 vs the Nets.

rumors are that if they get tyson, they might put amare on the trade block for CP3.

Please don't trade Amare. Amare and Tyson upfront with Melo as a point-forward...When is Phil Jackson flying in?

I'm really disappointed they are going to amnesty Billups. I feel like in 2 years we are all going to be screaming itt when Amare's knees are blown out and we just gotta eat the remaining 2 years of his contract.

I think the point is it would have been highly preferable to trade Billups for peanuts.

Is there just one amnesty forever?

Yep. Once you use it, it's gone. And yes, my point was there had to be someone out there who would have took a useful point guard with a 14 million dollar expiring contract.

We've signed Bibby to the veteran's min, and now there's talk of signing Baron Davis when he's waived by Cleveland

Well since Bibby might be the worst player on the face of the earth, I would like to add Baron as a bit of insurance behind that.

Can't believe anyone would sign him after watching Miami in playoffs last year

Didn't think our bench could get worse but losing Shawne to the Nets just turned our bench into probably the worst bench in the NBA?

From Rotoworld:

Quote:
Sources tell Chris Sheridan that Baron Davis hopes to clear amnesty waivers today at 6 pm ET and end up with the New York Knicks. If he does, there are talks that he could be available to go within two weeks, not the 8-10 week timeframe originally discussed by his agent.

Sheridan thinks there are a growing number of skeptics that believe that the severity of Davis's injury is being fabricated in an attempt to scare off would-be bidders so that Davis can slip through the waivers process unclaimed, which would allow him to choose his next team. In addition to Davis, the article also talks about the Knicks being interested in going after Michael Redd, Troy Murphy and/or DeShawn Stevenson as well. Check out the link below for more.
Pretty interesting, Baron could be a nice fit for us.

Also, I'm pretty sad looking back at all the June posts itt and everyone hating on Iman. Looking back at it now, Singleton wouldn't be a fit anyway. Shumpert looks like an decent prospect and I'm excited to see him play.

Happy this thread is going again, let's gooooo
