For all the frustration contained in this thread and the forum wide head scratching over the expense of the Melo deal - you gotta say that this is a very good place to be relative to the last few years of unadulterated rubbish.

Toney Douglas has been a solid contributor recently imo.

I don't understand why we had to give up Gallo in the deal. Shawne Williams flamed out and we need another guy to shoot the 3 when TD has his every other game AIDS-athon.

Plus it woulda been really fun to run out a "big" lineup of Fields, Gallo, Carmelo, Amare, and the corpse of Ronny Turiaf and let Melo play point forward. Could play inside-out with everyone having a post-up advantage on their man in the paint and everyone but Turiaf moving around screens for wide open jumpers. Play 2-3 zone on D and how much worse could it be than the current D? Oh well.

Because Gallo is clearly the best asset in that trade and why would Denver do it without him?

You can argue the Knicks gave up more than they had to, but gallo/Chandler are always a part of a deal for Melo.

toughest matchup. We'd be better off playing ANY other team but Celts. I hope they can stretch it to 6 games but this could be wishful thinking.

ok, so Knick fans reaaalllllyyyyy need to learn how to start chanting Melos name.

all season long its been meehhhh--lllloooooooooo (like the famous Daaa-ryllll strawberry mocking chant).

Example of said awful chant

it's a jynx chant thats designed to be for people you don't like, not your ****ing hometown guy.

start chanting ME-LO ME-LO ME-LO in a fast, clap-clap pace please ffs. Idk how the fans could possibly think daaaaaaaarrryllllllllllllll is the right way to chant his name.

maybe I'm being too nitty on this but it drives me nuts.

Dogs to advance obviously, but the Celtics have been so god damn poor recently. I actually think tonight's game has some significance, as keeping the momentum going could be very important.

Amare is fine according to all reports. He was doing full sprints before the game. They are just resting him and being safe, which is good because his legs were gone for a bit there.

im a big sports fan, basketball isnt really my cup of tea but im a new york guy in if i watch basketball im a knicks fan no doubt about it.. is that offensive foul a little redic? i mean maybe it could be a foul but with 20 seconds left in the game and the number 8 seed up a point over the celtics and they have the ball is it possible that that fould shouldn't be called?

seemed like it was definitely a call favoring the big dogs and i find it hard to believe if the situation was reversed the knicks are getting that call..again im not a huge basketball guy so im just asking
