Over the last 3 weeks, Timofey Mozgov is averaging 13.5 points and 7.5 rebounds. Not bad!

Just watching him move around the court is hurting my brain. He has NO sense for the game at all. It looks like all he is trying to do is set a pick for someone and not even trying to be a force under the basket. Just painfull...

The Denver Nuggets and the New York Knicks are discussing a three-team trade that would make forward Carmelo Anthony a Knick before the Feb. 24 trade deadline, according to league sources.

In the proposed trade, New York would send Anthony Randolph and Eddy Curry to Minnesota and the Timberwolves would send Corey Brewer and a first-round pick to Denver. Denver would also receive Wilson Chandler from New York.

The deal is not expected to happen until the middle of next week at the earliest

i was just about to post that, if dolan really is pressuring walsh to make a trade happen i cant really picture a better one than that

curry/randolph are pretty much 0s, landry is our best young asset and so its basically gallo vs will. i was always a gallo>chandler guy but gallos really stepped it up lately, combine that with the fact that gallo is a year younger and most of chandlers value comes from having the ball in his hands (which wud be less on a team with melo/amare) i think this is the best we can do

obviously it would be best to not trade any1 and sign melo but with the trade rumors that were coming out earlier in the season i can definitely live with this if it happens

I just want to know, what the **** is Minnesota thinking in this deal? Is Randolph + Curry's contract worth a lottery pick?

They own Utah's first-round pick and I assume that is the pick being discussed. Of course, then Denver is ******ed to do this. I don't think there is any chance of the trade going down as reported.

obviously he's saying he believes the knicks are a lock to get carmelo in the offseason--so yes, this trade would be for half a season of carmelo.

Hasn't it been shown that they can't sign Chandler and a max anyway?

They can't outright sign both, but they could still sign Chandler and then acquire Carmelo via Sign-and Trade. That'd defeat the purpose of waiting until the offseason to get him though. They should pretty obviously just make this trade if it's actually available (1% chance it is). **** Wilson Chandler. He's had a nice year and he's young but come on, he's not the difference between anything.

lol my bad thakid I thought he meant we weren't signing Melo, flew right over my head. and yes Baltimore, in order to sign a Max this summer we would have had to renounce the rights to Chandler.

My guess is Denver leaked these rumors to try and gauge interest for Melo from other teams.

Apparently they really like Randolph, idk why, they wouldn't mind getting rid of a first round pick so they don't have to guarantee another contract, and Brewer can't shoot, and can't play defense. Everyone thinks he can because because he hustles, but he gambles too much and his guy often ends up with wide open 3s because he gets lost on D.

Even with all that said it is still -EV IMO for the Wolves.
