In what way is Allan Houston qualified to be a GM? He used to play and owns a suit. I guess that's the only criteria these days.

Anthony has until next June 30 to sign the extension, and the Nuggets have said they have no intention of trading Anthony. While most league executives believe Anthony will sign the extension, several sources close to him said he will not sign and that his ultimate desire is to play in New York.

The RealGM people are pretty happy about it, so he has that going for him.

his contract is the problem tho. 15 million a year for 10 and 9 is a little ridiculous.

I'd dump every player on the roster if it meant getting CP3 and Okuna back.

If you can get CP3 you obviously take Okafor's contract and forget about Melo. Getting all three was never happening anyway considering you'd have to trade for both and even if you just trade for Paul you need to absorb Okafor.

Do the Knicks have enough to do it? Depends on if they like Randolph and all the expirings I suppose.

I'm praying we don't have to give up Rooster to get CP3. A CP3-Walker-Rooster-Amare-Russian DJ Mbenga core would be awesome. But then again, I don't know how competitive a Curry + Randolph + Douglas + Turiaf + Azubuike for Okafor + CP3 offer is in comparison to others they'll receive for CP3.

Works out from a numbers perspective, but NO would be getting raped from a competitive aspect. Can ye throw in picks as well? I mean, while it would leave them under the cap from 2011 on, it wouldn't even leave them room for a max contract, and they would be trading away their all world piece and solid big man.

Gallinari is obviously more attractive because he has upside, but even adding him to the mix doesn't make this attractive enough for NO.

The roster for this season could be ~40 wins, and ~27m comes off the books at the end of this season with:

Felton
Mozgov
Amare
Walker

What is signed longer term. Things look good and flexible at present. No bad contracts beyond this season, loads of cap room to work with, ability to get into the playoffs now.

New thread title is misplaced imo!

Roger Mason Jr. has some youtube video where he says he might be a knick soon. Not even worth posting the link.
