He's really good at drawing offensive fouls. He has a long reach which he uses reasonably well. It's just that opponents can exploit the other, defensively weak players on our team (DLee) so the person who Jeffries is covering usually doesn't carry the ball.

He's a reliability on the offensive end since he's an awful shooter, though. His FG% is inflated since opponents will leave him wide open and dare him to shoot.

Also, is it just me, or do we always have a sick game against the Bobcats?

He's still been a hugely net positive player for them this year, which is all that matters.

+15 today with Jeffries in the game. Next closest Knick was Gallinari at +2, nobody else positive. Last game he led all with +28.

He played great today. Hopefully he keeps this up so we can trade him.

I don't get the super-short rotation plan. It's not like we're in the middle of the playoffs. I'd like to see the rookies get more time, and shouldn't Curry be given a chance to show that he's healthy enough to dump on some other team?

I agree with the first part, but it had nothing to do with Nate. Nate sucks. D'Antoni cost them the game by playing Eddy Curry.

This would be true for me as well if I wasn't a Syracuse Orange basketball fan as well.

My current working theory is that Jordan Hill banged Mrs. Copstache

i don't know man, I think you had to play EC, the team loves him, he's back at home, give him his 5 minutes.

And yeah, Nate sucks, agreed, but if my team is 2/22, exhausted and just throwing bricks with no legs underneath them, he's definitely worthy of some spot duty.

im so pissed this morning, I really liked Coach D, loved his straight talk attitude, just seemed like a cool guy, but this uber short rotation thing is a joke.

There's a huge reason to play him and neither of those are it.

Our loss last night has a lot to do with the inefficiency of our offense without Hughes. He's the only player on this team that can come off a DLee screen and make good decisions. The 93470234242 3-pointers attempted shows how we had to settle for bad shots since we couldn't drive to the net effectively.

I'm baffled by how committed D'antoni is to running a PnR based offense when we have Chris Duhon NBA starter running the point. He should have made some adjustments, like running Harrington/Gallo/DLee off backdoor screens away from the ball to attack the paint.

I'm thinking about doing a breakdown of the Knick's PnR troubles via screen captures of a typical play. Anyone know where I can download full Knicks games?

Weird game.

-We ran a ton of set plays on offense.
-Duhon had a decent amount of success driving the lane off a screen. He almost had a triple double, too.
-Bender has 9 points in 14 minutes in his first game in 4 years or whatever. Jordan Hill who?
-AHSS did not play very well.

Or at least best seven-footer on the Knicks.

I have to admit that the guy is kind of intriguing.

As of today, we're 45% to make the playoffs according to Hollinger.

I wonder Nate can fetch, with his one-year contract.

In theory, I'd think he could be a valuable role player on a contending team, but it's hard to know how coachable he is. On the surface, he hardly seeks like a "cancer," and not even much of a head case. But something must have set D'Antoni off behind closed doors.
