Are the Knicks a favorite to dump at least one of JJ/Curry before the deadline? Curry obviously has a ways to go, and Jeffries' stats don't look great, but I assume his defense is recognized? Boston picks him up at the deadline to handle LeBron/VC in the playoffs? Cavs pick him up for similar reasons, shooting themselves in the foot for the next 15 years?

I'm sure it costs them basically nothing. I remember Hahn writing an article about how Walsh loved him in Indiana and worked him out this summer. Apparently he's worked pretty hard to get healthy. He was never a good player but was always super talented and is 7' tall. What's the worst that can happen, he sucks?

Not that I know anything nor am I in a position to watch the games, but I've read a couple of articles/blog posts in the last few days that basically say that if they do trade Jeffries, their recent success is history. His defense has been vital.

He actually doesn't. On offense he certainly does, and it's easy to think that he sucks overall because we can only really measure offense contribution with the stats we have available, but everything indicates that he's a top notch defensive player in the league.
