Hilarious thread here about McGrady from a moron forum:

http://www.ultimateknicks.com/forum/...t=33038&page=1

Here are some Cliff Notes:

1) Even in the unlikely event that we could unload JJ and/or Curry and in the process get McGrady, Walsh apparently "won't pull the trigger", I guess because he doesn't like to shake things up? Walsh will tell the fans he is "looking at his options" though to humor us.

2) Absolutely refuse to trade Curry to Houston unless we get a round 1 as part of the deal.

3) Get rid of JJ in a package for McGrady if you must, but don't let go of Curry just yet because we might have better opportunities down the line and/or he might be worth keeping.

And these are people with like 30K posts.

"Curry, Hughes & Chandler for T-Mac & HOU's 1st rounder might work, but i really like how Hughes has been playing for us this year... if we could milk Dorsey in that deal i'd do it w/o a doubt" hahahahahahahahahaahahaha

hahahahahahahaha

I'd want a first rounder out of that.

I can't remember the last time we used the foul to give to our advantage.

haha, god I lurk on that forum just because it is sadly the best knicks forum, the trade ideas/thought process of 70% of the posters is just insane. there are a few legit posters there (the owners of the site for instance)

as for my knicks, this is my first year without a season package since 05, and I'm so happy about that. im slowly changing my mind on dantoni because he refuses to bench duhon, dude might be the worst point guard the knicks have ever had.

I'm not making a ruling on D'Antoni or Walsh until next year. We knew from the start that these years would suck. I still happen to think that D'Antoni is very good. Duhon does suck though.

How can anyone hate on Walsh? The Knicks were never, ever supposed to have this kind of cap room.

Walsh is awesome. I'm very sour on copstache right now.

-I've never understood the 7 seconds or less thing. Especially when we don't have a great PG that can keep his dribble. We can't run an offense predicated on a pick and roll when our PG has no idea how a pick and roll works. Nash made it work because he didn't suck balls. Here's a good breakdown of our offensive woes:

-We are sooooooo bad on defense. It's awful. We're absolutely lolbad at rotating. Instead of switching temporarily then hustling back to cover their original man, our players just switch on screens and never switch back. They are soooo lazy on defense it's shocking. Add that to the fat that we never close in on perimeter shooters, and we have a team that's 20th in defensive efficiency. Ugh.
Here's a good breakdown of copstache's pathetic implementation of a zone:

from the description youre giving, 20th in D efficiency doesnt sound that bad, especially with no inside presence

A lot of that 20th ranking has to do with teams benching their starters after being up 20+ points in the 4th quarter (CLE, the 3 games we made a comeback, and last night)

One positive this year, anyone else extremely happy we didn't lock in Dlee? Dude hates defense.

hate to say it but he has gotten a pass before primarily because he is the "star" of the team (that he's marketable and white also help I suppose)

Gallinari is the best player the Knicks have and that is fairly sad

Def can't hate on D'Antoni yet. Fans are ******ed. In theory I'd rather see young guys get playing time than a few extra wins. Not that he's necessarily doing that.

Walsh is the best in the league as far as I'm concerned.
