The game has it right. Herb almost always came in for Ewing (and started for him when he was injured). Here are their minutes played:
92-93: Ewing 37.1, Williams 10.4
93-94: Ewing 37.6, Williams 11.1
94-95: Ewing 37.0, Williams 13.3
Herb missed a bunch of games in 92-93 and 94-95 though, so in those games I think the team went with a Mason-Oakley-Smith frontcourt while Ewing rested.
