yea, ghana be real great to see bulls fans overreactions and idiocy to knicks fans preferring them in the 1st rd. theyre gonna act like we think were favorites or something.
knicks are like 15-20% to beat the bulls maybe. but theyre less than 5% to beat the heat.
its kinda irrelevant anyway since if we pull an upset vs 1 of them in rd1 its super unlikely we don't play the other. i guess there is some merit to playing the team you have a better chance of beating 1st to build momentum and such but w/e
But what do you guys think as knicks fans. Amare and Melo cant play together so do you wanna see Amare get traded or what? Melo has been crazy good lately, I may have seen his first career sportscenter worthy block this morning.
Wow...what an end to the season. Orl vs Mem on the last game of the season and the only way for Mem to play for something is if Knicks beat LAC on their last game.
I was listening to Boomer and Carton yesterday morning and Charles Barkley was on.
They of course talked about the Knicks at one point. Barkley said for them to calm down because the Knicks aren't any good. They're only a 7th-8th seed, blah blah blah.
Normally I'm a fan of Barkley because he runs his mouth and isn't afraid to say anything that comes to his mind, but here he's lacking serious perspective.
The Knicks with D'Antoni coaching and the Knicks with Woodson coaching are almost two different teams.
D'Antoni was a lame-duck uninspiring coach who went 18-24 with talented players.
Woodson jumped into an incredibly stressful and volatile situation. The immense pressure he had to perform can not be stressed enough. He steered the Knicks ship by demanding accountability from all his players and bringing out the best in Melo. His record stands at an impressive 15-5.
That's a whopping 0.750 winning %, and if you look around the NBA standings right now, the highest win % in the league belongs to the Chicago Bulls with 0.746 %.
I know it's only 20 games which accounts for 30.3% of this season, sample size how does it work? etc. but it counts for something. The Knicks are better than their seed like they were in 1999, and they deserve more respect than a typical 7th-8th seed because of their performance under Woodson.
In honor of Coach Woodson, and since he sounds just like Tone Loc, I present to you some Funky Cold Medina...
