Now I hear he's "Iffy" for Monday according to rotoworld. I did not see this as a multiple week injury.
At the time of the injury, it was supposed to be 1 to 2 weeks injury. It's been 13 days so we're still within that window. Melo should be back sometime next week, just in time for him to get some play time before we visit LBJ.

Melo's injury is feeling pretty Metty right now, but it's a groin, you don't mess around with that.

Maybe this gasol thing keeps escalating, they strike out on hgh, and the Lakers take him. Shrug, seems like something team kobe would go for.

looks like tomorrows the day.

Mike D'Antoni sounds confident that Carmelo Anthony (groin) can return to action on Monday.

"Knowing Melo and knowing where he is, he'll play tomorrow," said D'Antoni. Owners may want to watch for confirmation on Monday afternoon, but it sounds safe to plug him into weekly lineups.

Not when you add Lin into the deal. Would be such a tough pill for NY to swallow.

Lin might not be tradeable yet though right?

Not sure, but are the Magic really that down on Nelson? As for that trade, no idea, would the magic really want the max contract of Amare and after all, Lin is an FA after this year.

you cant make that deal. and as crazy as it sounds, Lin is probably worth more to this team than Dwight Howard. Lin is the most marketable athlete in New York right now, not Eli, not Jeter, not Melo.

sidenote - Henrik Lundqvist should be, it sucks how much people refuse to get into hockey. that guy should own the city.

lol

as sick as it sounds

lin is more valueable than amare right now

in terms of both on the court + contractwise

I can't decide if Lin/Smiff/Melo/Jeffries/Chandler or Lin/Fields/Melo/Jeffries/Chandler is out best lineup. I think Fields is probably>Smith in a vacuum but with that particular group it seems like JR's a better fit. I think his perimeter shooting will allow our offense to run smoother and space the floor better.

Fields should start but JR might end up taking the crunch time minutes.

I guess he kind of already did lol.

Only 4 games out of the 3 seed. 3.5 out of the all important 6 seed.

Schedule getting much tougher though.

It's good timing (not surprised if it were intentional) that Melo gets to come back against the Nets before a tough stretch going into all-star.

JR should most certainly play crunch time minutes, fields seems terrified with the ball in his hands in close/late situations and defense bears down so creation becomes more valuable

Is it racist to have a custom made jersey that says ChinkBalla with the #88?

I'd like to hear Lin explain why he chose that name for his Xanga at 16 years old.

I'm not hating cuz I had a couple funny usernames at 16 too.

Never. It is clear to anyone that Amare is a self-contained sucktard.

Major +1

Not only does Smith space the floor, have more NBA crunch time experience, but he also has more experience playing with Melo. Plus Smith can just drive down the lane, jump like woah over people, slam dunk, and then pause to listen to the crowd.

For example:

headline of sportscenter just now : "Hello, Melo: Knicks back at full strength"

Seems really disrespectful to JORTS---just wait till we're REALLY back at full strength.
