My friend (who's a hudge Knicks fan) has been saying the same thing to me, glad to see you confirm it.

It does make sense as the Knicks should have won the last time they played if they only didn't give up 22 freaking o-rebs. They def. match up with the Bulls power for power, plus our improved defense is very nize.

It's also quite possible that the Knicks move up to the #7 seed and the Bulls (who play Miami twice coming up) could drop to the #2 seed and there you go, the "desired" match-up.

Knicks should seriously get TWO wins today for beating the Bulls AND the Zebras.

I major reason that the Knicks did is they only had 9 to to the Bulls had 19 turnovers

Shump and Chandler were downright amazing defensively. Chandler where was basically EVERYWHERE the entire game and had that key tip back for the last OT possession. Shump mostly guarded DRose and held him to 8-26 shooting with 8 turnovers!

Mike Woodson is now 11-3 and this is with jumping into a very hostile situation, with immense pressure from the city of NY, and dealing with key injuries to his star players.

He deserves some coach of the year credit imo. 11-3 would be the highest winning % for this season and would equate to 64.4 wins in a 82 game season.

Shump is the reason we can probably push Bulls to 6-7 games in playoffs. Nobody can hold Rose in check completely but he can slow him down to the point where Knicks actually have a chance...and just to think how good this team would have looked if we had a PG.

i mean i just dont get anyone who would rather play the heat honestly. the heat at their peak have an argument for an all-time great team. this bulls team is a nice team, and has title equity but they are just so much inferior to the heat.

edit: heres a huge thing; we have a guy who can give the bulls best player a hard time, we have no one who can stop lebron or bosh. shump can guard wade but chandler isnt quick enough to stay w bosh.

The Knicks split a Home-Away with the Chicago Bulls, who have the best record in the NBA.

If you asked any Knicks fan on Sunday morning, if he would be genuinely happy splitting these 2 games with the Bulls he would have said "Hell Yeah!"

The real important match up is tonight at the Bucks, for obvious reasons.


I will say that I am disappointed that the Knicks players (JR Smith comes to mind) didn't stay "at home" when guarding Kyle Korver.

Look at the job the Bulls did on Novak, he was rarely anywhere near open. That's very good coaching with very good implementation and discipline. Korver deserved similar respect from the Knicks D.

I'm figuring it's also easier to guard Novak when there isn't a penetrating PG like Jeremy Lin out there to draw defenders away for him. I think Novak may be missing Lin the most.

I thought Knicks were going to lose last night, I really just wish they didn't lose because they scored 10 points in the 2nd quarter.

Tonight's game is must win. Really exciting.

Novak's been killing us last two games, he's basically useless when he's not great from 3 so when he's bad its especially bad.
