Sources tell Chris Sheridan that Baron Davis hopes to clear amnesty waivers today at 6 pm ET and end up with the New York Knicks. If he does, there are talks that he could be available to go within two weeks, not the 8-10 week timeframe originally discussed by his agent.
Sheridan thinks there are a growing number of skeptics that believe that the severity of Davis's injury is being fabricated in an attempt to scare off would-be bidders so that Davis can slip through the waivers process unclaimed, which would allow him to choose his next team. In addition to Davis, the article also talks about the Knicks being interested in going after Michael Redd, Troy Murphy and/or DeShawn Stevenson as well. Check out the link below for more.
Pretty interesting, Baron could be a nice fit for us.
Also, I'm pretty sad looking back at all the June posts itt and everyone hating on Iman. Looking back at it now, Singleton wouldn't be a fit anyway. Shumpert looks like an decent prospect and I'm excited to see him play.
