Nah that two game sample proved he is the worst defender to ever wear a Knicks shirt.

Amare takes such better shots when the offense isn't run through him. It seems like Melo Will make him such a higher efficiency player.

Great game. It's amazing how much good rebounding can help you out defensively.

Melo pretty much makes everyone a higher efficiency player. It's like his key attribute. He played awesome defense tonight though, but I wouldn't expect him to keep that up in some of the less meaningful games.

Chauncey's 3 with 1 minute left was cold blooded.

Billups was maddddd clutch yeah. He gave the Big Three that dumbfounded look on their faces in the last 3 minutes as he stole the ball and sank 3 pointers.

I absolutely loved it.

Gentlemen, happened to be in New York last night and watched the entire game from start to finish. I am happy for all of ye long suffering fans. You aren't going to win a Championship without significant further addition to the roster of course - but you no longer suck, and get to enjoy playoff basketball for the next couple of years. Enjoy it imo.

I heard Carter told Dantoni he could guard Wade and was given the chance.

Is that true?

Corey Brewer has been bought out, Jared Jeffries will be signed tomorrow and in uniform for Wednesday night's game against the Hornets.

Why buy out Brewer of all people?

Isn't Brewer supposed to be good at defense? Isn't that something we could have used? I guess Jeffries is too but Brewer can score a little bit.

Was Jeffries an Isiah pet? Is that why he's back?

Jeffries was most definitely an Isiah pet. He had an IU hardon for him. Corey Brewer is terrible...**** Jared Jeffries. Also much less of Anthony Carter...free Mr Candace Parker.

D'Antoni loved Jeffries, I doubt it has anything to do with Isiah.

Brewer just isn't a good fit for us. Wings in Copstache's system absolutely need to be able to drain 3s, which Brewer can't. Jeffries gives us an interior defensive presence we desperately need. IIRC, he was leading the league charges drawn before we traded him last year.

This.

I am definitely for bringing in Jeffries. I just don't understand why we cut Brewer over someone like Mason. Not that it really matters though, doubt Copstache would have given him a decent shot at a rotation spot.
