This morning, I saw the rumors that Knicks might be positioned to get McGrady, perhaps for Jeffries and Holmes (as the contracts roughly match up).

I haven't been paying attention to Tracy McGrady for years. Can someone tell me whether we want this to happen?

The biggest problem with getting McGrady is that other teams are going to be able to offer a lot better deals.

Yeah well Adelman has basically thrown him under the bus saying that he can't play and increasing his minutes right now is not an option because his health does not warrant that. Kind of kills his value a little bit.

Teams don't want him because he's good, teams want him because he has an expiring $23.2 million contract. His expiring contract is probably a top ten asset in the NBA right now. Morey won't trade him unless he's getting back cheap, nearly all-star talent.
