I like how last night's game is getting completely ignored in the whole New York-Philly matchup thing.

Much more likely to be worst team in the league than to get the 8 seed.

Nate has a sprained ankle. Could miss up to 2 weeks. We're gonna see an uncomfortable amount of Hughes and Douglas.

Marbury was kicked out of the home opener. Why won't he just go away?

God this season is making me miserable already. STOP GOING DOWN DOUBLE DIGITS THEN TRYING TO WIN IN FIVE MINUTES. Going to tonights game...opening night on Halloween was so stupid. Hornets havent looked great this year maybe we can steal one.

For the sake of your sanity, stop watching until next year.

They're in trouble with Nate out. Toney Douglas is atrocious. I didin't like it when they traded for him, and he's done nothing to make me like him so far.

Finally a more complete effort of a game. Man New Orleans looks terrible...CP3 is insane and Okafor looked fairly competent on the offensive end of the floor but Peja/MoPete are shells of their former selves.

Gallo shot poorly but did alot of other things well which was nice to see. I don't know the reason behind Harrington's benching but I think it's led to him shooting more often every time down the floor if that's at all possible. Jared Jeffries still sucks...wish he had gotten hit harder. I still hate Larry Hughes. Toney Douglas is at least quick and seems to understand defense a little. Free Darko.

Imagine what DLee could do with a legit defensive center behind him.

I don't really have a favorite team. But after watching these first games, I think I could like the Knicks. I really like Copstache, Gallinari, and DLee (racist ban, ldo). They just don't seem to have an offensive identity. Lot of chuckers still on this team. Am I right in this assesment?

this says that dLee is better as a center.

The 82games sample size for him at PF last year is basically non-existent. He was always listed as the C except for a few lineups with Randolph at C.

Does PER even take defense into account?

Slightly but not really. eFG Against is probably the best measure short of watching every game and taking notes. Lee's was slightly better against Centers also last year, but again he barely played any minutes at PF so those numbers mean nothing. 82games also has PER against.

a win on Wednesday would mean 2 in a row, which might be the longest winning streak the Knicks will have all season

While the team as a whole seems to be playing better defense, DLee has regressed. I know it's a small sample size of games, but he's nothing more than a minor inconvenience for opponents at this point. Watching him try to contain a penetrating guard is lolbad.

I agree, but I don't think he's regressed that much. He's always been like that. If he wasn't such a good rebounder (defensive rebounding is important for defense in general), he'd really be an abomination on that side of the ball. He's definitely one of the worst defenders in the league at his position.
