LOL, so you didn't actually watch the game??? I'd say muffing a punt and having the ball go right off a Cardinal (who had a terrific chance to recover it) and out of bounds AND having a ball deflect off a Cardinals DB right into a wide open receiver's hands who was behind everyone in the Arizona secondary qualifies as getting some breaks.

i "watched" the game (meaning it was on on a TV in front of me), but i was more paying attention to the other TV next to it with the yanks on

my observations:

lots of holes in the Giants' secondary. Losing phillips hurt a lot more than I ever thought it would. Where was Webster on Larry Fitz half the time?

defense not getting enough pressure. They seem to be telegraphing their blitzes and the blocking schemes were picking them up.

Eli just looked bad. Was it cause of the wind? He kept making so many dangerous throws.

A game they could have won, but just didn't execute.

well, I can't argue, I guess I thought we were making plays but couldn't get anything consistent going on either side of the ball, but you guys are right, we did get some big breaks and still couldn't come through, so that leaves us at playing poorly. I still think we're a good team, but now I don't know how to justify it. We killed some of the worst teams in the NFL, and stole one a big one at Dallas, but what are we now?

This is a disgrace... I don't know what happened to this team. I don't know if I can even watch the second half. How do you not get up for this game when you've lost two in a row?

I have never seen a team go from 5-0 to completely inept this quickly. I blame CC Brown.

Well they are capable of being very good. But they are not good right now, and haven't been for three weeks.

normally i'd say that eli is still hurt but he rushed for 40 yards today and didn't appear to be in any pain

More importantly, he can't play any position on defense.

We need Ross back so Thomas can play safety. He should be playing there even while Ross is out.

Is ross coming back? Espn doesn't have anything about him

if we find a win vs the bolts and get the bye week to heal up and regroup, I think we can get hot again going into the playoffs. Maybe getting punched in the mouth like this will be a wakeup call, I think a lot of people wrote off the last 2 weeks as some type of variance

I came in here after the loss to the Saints saying that there is nothing to worry about Giants still good yadda yadda yadda. Now it is time to be concerned. The defense is flat out bad, the linebackers suck - not having canty is killing them and right now the secondary is in shambles Phillips was such an underrated player. I've had enough of Can't Cover Brown he is not a starter on any NFL team.

None the less, winning solves everything. A win this week heading into the bye week and yeah, at the midway point it could be better but you cant complain about 6-3 ever.

Well they're 5-3, and you can definitely complain about 5-3 when it's a team that was projected to be a top 5 team in the NFL, and only 2 of these first 8 games have been against bona fide good teams.

I see the Chargers game as basically a must-win. If they win that game, then they're going into the bye on a positive note. If they lose that game they're 5-4, which pretty much means the absolute best case scenario is maybe a wildcard spot. Which means they'll have to play teams like the Saints and Vikings on the road in the playoffs. Not exactly promising.

Something is very wrong with the Giants. They shouldn't be this bad. There was no reason for them not to beat the Cardinals last week at home. They're a better team than the Cardinals.

Eli is looking like the Eli of 2006.

yea finally, but ive read rouse is not very good in coverage either. considering how adept rivers/jackson are at the deep ball this may not go well.

The Giants have sucked the life out of football for me. I have no desire to watch any games.

Obv I'll be watching Sunday, but if they lose again I'm going to be one sad football panda.
