yeah, unless you fear being beaten with canes and walkers, giants stadium is not threatening.

Didn't a Giants fan throw an iceball at the visiting team's equipment manager that hit him in the eye? That's enough to make me scared.

that was 15 years ago.

i was at a giants-eagles game last year where two eagles fans were actually intimidating a whole section of giants fans. it was pathetic.

just wait until all the common people can't afford to renew their season tickets in the new stadium

Manning tossed a few sweet passes, but the lack of a real running game is worrying.

I have nowhere else to put this, so I'll put this here: Madison Hedgecock Fund is a new low in Berman nicknames.

Where is everybody?

Decent game last night but I still worry about the secondary. Next week looks like make or break vs. Philly, but who knows what kind of a run the Giants can go on if they win that one.

this thread has been kind of subsumed into the NFC east thread

i don't worry about the secondary as much as i worry about the pass rush, which was largely non-existent again yesterday

What an absolute disgrace today.

Sheridan seriously needs to go. Not that the defense was the only problem in this game, but they have been underperforming all year. Enough.

so, who feels better right at this moment? fans of the 5-11 browns (who have won 4 straight to close the season), or fans of the 'we just don't feel like playing anymore' giants?

never have i seen such a complete collapse. i mean, lose, sure...but just flat out give up?

I'll take the team that made the playoffs the previous four years and has a good shot at getting back to the playoffs over team walrus.

Although it was obviously an incredibly frustrating season.

Actually, I'm glad they did. It will get Sheridan canned and weed out the malcontents. I forget who it was in the secondary, (I was drunk) but one guy was basically playing 2 hand touch and refused to tackle hard. I guess he was making a "business decision". I think it was Rouse or Thomas. Regardless of who it was, Coughlin and Reese will definately know who was still playing hard and who wasn't when they look at tapes in the off-season.

Anyone know if they intend to use him as a CB or free safety?

Safety. As bad as our secondary was last year CB is a strength with Webster/TT (came on very strong)/Ross.

$15 mil guaranteed, eh?

I'm a little torn on it. We definitely overpaid, but we were going to have to overpay to improve our safety position no matter where we went. It was just an acceptable evil.

If you had to overpay to improve that position no matter what, then it's not really overpaying, is it?

I don't think making Rolle the highest paid safety in the league is a smart idea. I'm not very familiar with the Giants cap situation, but they might be in trouble depending on how the new CBA pans out.

I've been looking Rolle over since every other Dallas fan seemed to want him signed. The Cards forums didn't seem too hot on the guy, lot of mention about the guy being out of position and getting beat a fair amount. Granted he's coming off a PB in his 2nd year at the position, but the highest paid safety in the league? I'm not even sure he was the 2nd-best player the Cards lost this year.

I predict he's in for a harsh time with the NY media.

If people keep saying he is the highest paid safety in the league maybe it will actually become truth.
