It was indeed the Titans. My first ever road game, what a horrible one.

You're mixing up your Mike Vrabel teams.

These two plays are incredible. I think I understand football and then I see stuff like this and it blows my mind. Speakers up.

Brady audibles to White during a play fake.

Patterson sounds like he says "Edelman's open" - Hogan but white guy so same thing - maybe he would take the handoff if he read the defender (35 bottom of the screen) dropping into coverage?

It was an ugly finish for sure.

Fortunately, Houston lost (to Indianapolis) and Pittsburgh lost (to Oakland). So, we're still the #2 seed but are two games behind Kansas City for #1.

1. Kansas City 11-2
2. New England 9-4
3. Houston 9-4
4. Pittsburgh 7-5-1

5. LA Chargers 10-3
6. Baltimore 7-6

7-9. Indianapolis, Miami, Tennessee 7-6

Remaining Schedules (.500+ opponents bolded)
New England: @ Pittsburgh, vs. Buffalo, vs. NY Jets

Kansas City: vs. LA Chargers, @ Seattle, vs. Oakland

Houston: @ NY Jets, @ Philadelphia, vs. Jaguars

Pittsburgh: vs. New England, @ New Orleans, vs. Cincinnati

LA Chargers: @ Kansas City, vs. Baltimore, @ Denver

Probably have to win out to secure the bye. Philly seems really broken down (even if they may still be alive) and I wouldn't count on them beating Houston, esp. with Wentz at much less than 100% mobility.

And I'd be happy with just junking the idea of having a receiver as a target man on the last play of the game. Not even sure Gronk is a guarantee to get a clean play on a long ball in his current physical state, and Gordon whiffed on it in Chicago. Someone like Harmon is probably good enough for the job and should still know what to do if the unexpected happens.

I can't help but think that we've seen performances like this before -- where we lose a significant piece of our offense midweek and our gameplanning looks like a disaster. If we had played a good team today I think we'd have seen an offensive game like last week. Not very encouraging.

But AFCe champs. This doesn't feel like a championship contender this season, but anything can happen.

The Pats almost got screwed by a late Philadelphia collapse against Houston. But, a last second Eagles field goal has put us back in the #2 seed.

1. Kansas City 11-3 (play Sunday night at Seattle)
2. New England 10-5

3. Houston 10-5
4. Pittsburgh 8-5-1 (starting play at New Orleans now)
5. LA Chargers 11-4
6. Baltimore 9-6

7. Indianapolils 9-6
8. Tennessee 9-6

Note: Indianapolis plays @ Tennessee next week. If Pittsburgh loses @ New Orleans, the Indy/Tenn game should decide the #6 seed. Also, Houston hasn't actually clinched the AFC South.

1. Bye
2. Beat somebody (probably Houston) at home
3. Andy Reid/Chiefs or another home game.

I can see it.

4. win the super bowl.

I can see it, too. I want to believe. But we have to be pretty heavy dogs right now.

You guys are a Miami Miracle away from ANOTHER 12-4 season and ANOTHER 1-seed.

All this pessimism is silly.

EDIT: KC no lock to win tonight! Losing late 2Q!

1-seed still up for grabs!

Seems super unlikely chiefs lose to the raiders at home but I guess it could happen. 2 seed is fine though. Let's just not lose to the jets and than go from there.

Both KC and Chargers have to lose. I can see the Chargers losing in DEN, but if the Raiders can beat KC in KC, anybody can beat them anywhere.

no guarantee that we make it to the AFC championship game but going into Kansas City and beating them in that stadium would be pretty awesome.

Honestly Pats not that good this year, more issues than in any recent year.

That said, AFC is wide open. Pats can beat anyone else in conference. KCs defense is soooooo putrid I can see Pats winning there.

Without looking up the stats, this offense looks about as bad as any Brady has had to lead. I would probably take the 2006 offense over the 2018 offense. The 2013 offense was bad because of injuries by the time the AFCCG went off.

7th in offensive DVOA this year.

In the very near future we will see what a terrible offense in NE looks like but for now they are still pretty good.

This. The actually run the ball very well (Miami was an exception). LOL the announcers' comments on Sunday "I can't believe we're talking about Gronk in the run game." Why, he's been the best blocking TE in the league for, what, 8 years now.

Defense is better than last year. Jackson is now solidly the #2 CB.

The only thing that bothers me is 1. Run D, and 2. For the past few weeks, it has looked like some lower body injury is bothering Brady. He's not as smooth in the pocket and seems be getting happy feet a bit too much of late.

The Patriots will play their Divisional Round game on Sunday (1/13).

I always prefer the Saturday game so the Pats can get an extra day of rest prior to the Conference Championship.

However, I think we're likely to be lucky in the brackets. Baltimore and the Los Angeles are the dangerous low seeded teams. As long as Houston wins its home game against the 6-seed, we'll avoid those two teams. Meanwhile, Kansas City will have a tough game at home.

1. Kansas City
2. New England

3. Houston
4. Baltimore

5. LA Chargers
6. Indianapolis/Tennessee/Pittsburgh

Wild Card Weekend
Saturday, 1/5: No. 6 seed @ Houston

Sunday, 1/6: LA Chargers @ Baltimore

Divisional Round
Saturday, 1/12: TBD @ Kansas City

Sunday, 1/13 TBD @ New England

Conference Championship
Sunday, 1/20

Was surprised at the Sunday draw. They've played Saturday 5 straight years.

I’m rooting for Colts. Best chance to knock off KC imo.

As good as BAL/LAC are, im confident in the Pats at home. 8-0, biggest point differential in league. They’re just a different team there.
