Matt Light: dead or alive?

I haven't watched Tennessee since the season opener against Pittsburgh in prime time, but what struck me most about them was their relentless pass rush. Not a good time to be missing Todd Light.

And oh yeah, Simmons making a case to bundle a few picks (including Oakland's #1 next year) and ship them to STL for Steven Jackson had me giddy.

All their better kharma went out the door opening up the third quarter with a 5 wide set

Old schools uniforms look better than they did back then, now that Brady wears one.

--Best way to describe the TEN defense today: ever see a bad hockey team trying to kill a 5-on-3 power play? Now imagine an entire game of that, with the '76 Canadiens running the power play.

Pats kneeled on the ball 3 times today when they couldn't even kill the rest of the clock. that happens never

The Titans gave up deep scores, a 38-yard screen for a score, and a 45-yard run up the middle for a score. What are the Patriots supposed to do?

I didn't get to watch the game today due to traveling, so sorry if this is a bad question/haterz question:

Did Maroney play that well even? I know he had that long TD run, but other then that it seems like he played kinda, idk blah? Just wondering

Maroney played well, but how well is hard to say. He did a good job of not plowing into his OL's backsides like he usually does, but the Titans were getting pushed around and tackling poorly all game.

at this point no matter what Maroney does people are gonna hate him. I don't really get it, he has always been fine...just been injury prone. if he was a 4th round pick nobody would be on his case. he hasnt lived up to his promise but it's not like he's Chad Jackson either

I was actually responding to his overall negativity and not to this particular post. I should have quoted the other post he made.

What a wonderful day of football yesterday. The pats looked like 07 again, the Jets get beat by of all teams the Buffalo Bills and even the Giants got spanked by the Saints.

If only the Yankees had lost early morning then it would have been a complet turnaround from the previous Sunday.

The Pats are atop the AFC East again just like they should be. All is right in the world.

was great to see some of the younger guys contribute yesterday.

Darius Butler got the start at CB after Leigh Bodden was embarrassed by Brandon Marshall. before yesterday I hadn't seen much of Chung besides ST play. Myron Pryor forced a fumble. Edelman continues to beat out Joey Galloway. and of course Vollmer was huge filling in at LT.

that's 2 or 3 rookies who are capable of starting on a good team and a few other solid contributors

people love to hate on 1st rounders who arent above average by their 2nd year

apparently its easy to declare many nfl players as busts by the age of 25

I don't know if this was necessarily directed at me. By no means was I hating on him, just wanted to know how the running game looked yesterday. Brady won't be able to throw like that against every team, so wanted to know if the Pats running game was getting better.

I think that Maroney has improved a bit. The last two weeks he's looked better when he hits the line and isn't trying to juke everyone and is following his blockers better. I'm certainly not convinced he's the back we thought he was going to be but I'm not convinced he should be run out of town yet either.

it was more directed at the legions of Maroney haters, of which there are many.

even if you throw out his long TD run yesterday (which isn't fair) he averaged 5.2 yards/carry. now at some point the Titans quit, so take that with a grain of salt.

It's like the Titans showed up and thought "**** it's cold out here what is this white stuff? is the season over yet?" I mean wtf was that. I wouldn't have thought it would take bad weather to get Brady's mojo back.

I caught the end of this game, tilted the hell out of me.

End of regulation, about :30 left, tie ballgame. Buffalo has got a 4th-and-1. They can try a long FG into the stiff wind (chance of success: <33%), or they can try to convert this fourth down and subsequently move into position for a much more makable (makeable?) FG (chance of converting 4th down: >>>>>33%).

If the fourth down attempt fails, the coach gets blamed.
If the FG ATT fails, the kicker gets blamed.

Coach sent out the kicker.

Kick is no good.
Coach is gutless.
