It's not a difference in perception of his personality or anything subtle, it's simply "do you know anything about the 'TB12 Method'?" It is objectively ridiculous and filled with nonsense.

A lot of athletes (and people in general) do these things though and believe that they are doing positive things for them. They just don't talk about them much. Like athletes doing that cupping thing. Pushing plyometrics and nutrition stuff is way different than say pushing a bunch of harmful neurological boosting pills or hydroxycut type garbage.

Off the top of my head, I gotta go with this one.

Heh, Al Michaels gets all the good ones!

If you told me Malcolm's was bigger because it came in the last minute, that's a fair point. But this one flipped the game just as much. Cards were a big dog in that game, were giving the Steelers all they wanted, and were about to take the lead (or at worst tie the game) just before halftime. And it was crucial to the win, as PIT won by four, needing a last-minute TD to escape with the win.

Heard a guy on the radio say of all the Patriots haters, "Michael Jordan won all the time, too--no one hated him!"

Yeah, that's true. But why? What's the difference?

Was it because MJ came before the Fake News Era? Because you can't convince me that SpyGate and DeflateGate weren't Fake News.

Or was it because Michael Jordan had a great smile? Could it be that simple? I hesitate to use "charisma", I can't think of a single great quote he ever gave.

Lol @ people not hating Jordan.

But yeah, they didn't hate him as much as they would have if all the stuff he did was out there.

Also, people expect NBA dynasties because one player can be so dominant. In the NFL this is unheard of & annoying af for all other fan bases.

That's the same one that popped into my head too.

Tebucky's play would have been another! Would be so pissed about that if the Pats hadn't pulled it off anyway.

The Harrison int didn't flip the game close to the Butler int, Harrisons was big but the Cards led late in the game after Fitz big catch and run. Butlers was a game clinching int at the goal line with like 1 minute left.

Didn't realize we were having that convo on the 3 year anniversary of the Butler play.

Harrison play longer, so maybe more iconic or a better highlight or something, but the Butler play is GOAT. Potentially biased opinion alert.

The Celtics were hated and regularly accused of cheating back in their period of dominance. The cheating accusations were really prevalent in the Bird era.

I always kind of hated Michael Jordan, so they can't say no one ever did!

You’re not alone with this sentiment. Sure I root for the guy the same as I root for belichick, and I do think a lot of the cheating accusations are way overblown and mostly sour grapes, but I get the impression I wouldnt like either of them as people off the field

I did too. Part of the reason why I’m a lebron fan. I never really appreciated how good MJ was and I don’t want to make the same mistake.

I woke up at 6 so figured eh what the **** and rode the highs and lows of watching the recaps for all 7 SBs. I totally forgot how nutty the first 3 wins were. I'm ready.

This one may not feel as epic just bc how ridiculousnous other recent super bowls have been.

In 2014 we had the origin of deflategate and it was massive bc we still needed a bookend title to go along with the early dynasty.

Last year we had the Brady suspension and the vindication aspect of the entire saga.

Then going back further you had the Giants revenge game and the undefeated season. 2 big storylines.

This one funnily enough seems like the first eagles super bowl. Been there, done that, not much to lose.

Allegations below:

1. Blasting the heat in the visors' locker room
2. Listening devices in the visitors' locker room
3. refs in their pocket

Annoyance at being repeatedly outplayed by Red

1. The pre-draft deal with Golden State that amounted to essentially trading Joe Barry Carroll for Kevin McHale and Robert Parrish.

2. Drafting Bird after his Junior year at Indiana State even though he was going to stay in scholl (NBA banned that practice after that)

Arrogance:

Red lighting up his victory cigar on the bench with time left in the game.

Was thinking the same thing. I even decided to miss a few minutes of that one driving home at halftime instead of putting up with trying to watch the game with people that kept walking in front of the TV and wouldn't shut the **** up about stupid commercials.

Terrible coaching, terrible play calling, and terrible tackling. And what the **** with benching Butler?

Hope they get their heads out of their asses in the second half.

Well offense was there, defense was not. Not much you can do. No sacks, horrible tacklings. Maybe it was too many injuries after all.

Hard to win when you give up 41 and get no pressure whatsoever. Had to be one of the worst Pats defensive performances of all time.
