KsM, I am not expecting the Cowboys to go far with Dax, he is playing good but I just don't see a rookie QB advancing very far.
Good point and a lot can happen between now and the playoffs (Zelenograd Elliot domestic violence investigation), but the 'boys have a solid O-line, and except for Atlanta, nobody else in the NFC impresses me.

I haven't said anything because I didnt want to sound like one of those spoiled Pats fans looking for something to complain about....but I'm not sold on this O-line yet. I can't think of a weaker unit on the team. #EliteTeamProblems

our FG blocking unit is definitely our weakest unit! no blocked kicks* all year

*that I recall offhand

Hah. Well it's still certainly an upgrade and Brady has better options to throw to.

Woops. Last sequence at the GL was unfortunate. Not sure what to think of the plays they ran. Defense looked pretty bad imo. DBs just didn't turn around to look for the ball like.... ever. Wilson got it in some tight windows for sure. He played quite well.

The defense isn't very good, but they're still a top contender with that offense. Disappointing loss but shouldn't end up meaning much.

Didn't watch the game, just saw last play. Noticed in other games there seemed to be far fewer flags. Did the officials "let the players play" all night? Or was that a good non-call?

I'm trying to recall if anyone ever pulled that Hop Over The Snapper play against us. Did it? It seems so preventable to me.

They mostly let them play. Some non-calls went both ways but nothing too egregious.

Didn't get to watch this week, gonna watch it tomorrow.

Was there no thread on this game in SE? I can't find it! I love a 2+2 simulcast!

I'm fine with the non call on the last play since if they throw a flag it's OPI on Gronk.

It looked like gronk jammed him legally and then he pulled him down

Since when can the receiver legally push the defender? Again, good no call.

i dunno what the rules are but it seems like within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage its basically a free for all with contact. this might be a case of gronk having different rules than the rest of the league cause he is too strong.

Not correct. The defense can contact the receiver within 5 yards if the ball hasn't been thrown. The offense can only hit defenders within 1 yard of the line of scrimmage.

Another uncomfortable win, but a win is a win. Three observations:

1) Can anyone explain BB's end of half game management as of late? They kept their last timeout and blew any chance to get into the endzone. Ghost is a concern, but he's far down the list right now.

2) Mitchell is looking like the real deal. That catch in the EZ would have made him a legend, but he had another solid game and Brady is going to him in clutch situations. Love his hands, separation, and aggressiveness. He's a Lafell+ and still getting better.

3) Dion Lewis is slowly coming back to form. They featured him ahead of White to start the game, but it's sweet to have both of them at this time of year. My only annoyance is the 2nd and 10 or long screen call to one of these guys as an automatic. The Pats seem to put themselves in 3rd down situations after that playcall far too often.

All in all, a gusty win, this team has a lot of things to clean up but despite a banged up core everyone is still alive, which is unique for them this time of year.

Here's to hoping Brady gets one hell of a shot to his knee this week. Like, the good stuff.

Solid post Salva and as crazy as this sounds, I agree with all of it. In terms of the end of the half, maybe someone can explain it, but in my view, that was just god awful clock management. I just can't wrap my head around why they didn't either call a timeout or spike the ball with 25 seconds left. Made absolutely no sense to me.

Don't worry, when I find the time I'll go to town on what BB has done to ruin the defense, its playoff chances, and you can go nuts on me like old times. #kumbaya

End of first half was awful. I don't get why teams are opposed to spiking it at every opp. They weren't getting to fourth down there anyway.

Was at the game, and watching the reactions of the Jets fans was absolutely delicious. Worst fan base in all of sports.

Crowd was about 1/3 Pats fans.

end of first half was brutal. about as brutal as burning a TO after the 3rd play when it was obvious Dion Lewis was a yard short of the 1st down. I think I'm gonna blame both on Brady being hurt and messing with his mind / he was thinking on a different level - he obviously wasn't right and I think this affected stuff like this.

maybe?

anyways both were brutal
