I'm comfortable with my post in that exchange.

Well this was a surprise. I already marked it off as a loss so.... Yeah I'll take it. Jimmy was stellar.

Uh, yeah, I wasn't handwringing about not maximizing the Brady window. I've spent years on here trying to get Salva to understand it isn't a real focus of the franchise.

Yeah, pretty much only Salva was.

Separate from that, they clearly have an organizational philosophy which tries to balance the needs of fielding a strong team in the near term, while still always accounting for the future. Seems prudent to me.
Dynasty the posts don't support your narrative, except for lol Salva's.

Everything fell into place nicely. Jets, Bills and Dolphins lose and we win. Thats a nice little cushion.

Solid start, definitely some upside on Jimmy. His confidence will be up going forward which will hopefully snowball, Gronk still to come back

I'm still in shock. Take the starting QB and the #1 target off the field for any other team and there's no way this happens. Can't say enough about how good BB and the other coaches are.

Cassel 11-5
Jimmy G 4-0?
Brady - System QB? Nah why would anyone believe that

Even if he turns out to be good it doesn't matter cause you can't pay two Qbs QB money and Brady is playing at a min until his contract runs out. He has to be Brady levels of good to matter and you still won't know if he is a big game choker like Peyton. I still think it was spew. His value is weighted very heavily on him actually playing and besides the deflation glate bs that was not very high.

Plus don't Pats easily sign a free agent star QB who wants to play for BB once Brady quits?

2007 pats off dvoa - 43%
2008 pats off dvoa - 12%

Your argument is invalid

This. pats had by far the easiest schedule in the league in '08. 15-1 if Brady doesn't go down in week 1.

we still have some tough games left.

@ Pitt
SEA
@ DEN

and games that won't be gimmes like CIN, the division road games

but even with Brady, @ ARI was probably the toughest game on the slate. just huge we got that one without Brady and Gronk et all

I think our schedule is looking pretty tough actually but I'm pretty optimistic in this team.

10-6?????? Are you out of your ever loving mind? Do you even pay attention? I swear to god people are so ******ed around here. Go away!!!

Considering the over under was basically 11, predicting 10 wins before last night wasn't really weird. Just a touch pessimistic.

But we picked up like .7 expected wins last night and even more important Jimmy looked credible. I'm guessing letsgamboool would have an updated prediction of 11 or 12 wins today.

I think we get to Brady at 3-1.

Great way to start the season! Good to see some of you guys back again this year

One takeaway I have from the Cardinals game is I wonder how much Jamie Collins had to do with the kicker missing that kick at the end of regulation. Collins is well known for leaping the center to block kicks and had already tried it earlier in the game. The center has to be thinking about how quickly he needs to stand up after the snap in case Collins hurdles the line. Collins should get an assist on this one if so.

Tomorrow we go to 2-0.
