ahern 6 tgts 6 catch
welker 7 tgts 6 catches
moss 10 tgts 2 catches

it did feel like every single drive ended with a ******ed forced throw to moss. brady did the same thing last year, forcing passes to moss like hes still in his prime.

I didn't have any confidence in the offensive coaching staff last year and this game has really cemented that. When Revis went down, the Jets put Cromartie on Moss and it looked like he was effective playing him physcial off the line. So why force everything to Moss? Makes no sense. Maybe, it's Brady's fault, I don't pretend to know who was supposed to be the primary receiver on those plays.

Also, way too many running plays. When Weis was available, ir seemed the Patriots weren't even interested. I feel like we have a coaching staff of one, Bill Belichick.

To win against the good teams, our offense must dominate and keep the defense off the field because our corners can cover but they can't make a play on the ball. Over and over, they were in position but just let the receiver catch the ball right next to them.

I recall the year they traded Givens and Branch, 35yr old Troy Brown became the 2nd and 7 utility receiver. I suspect Kraft/Chek don't want to leave any value on the table when the contract expires.

Kevin Faulk is probably done for the year with a torn ACL.

Heard on WEEI today that Dirty Sanchez has only had a passer rating over 100 three times in his career and twice was against Pats (other time was Oakland)

Yup. Darius Butler sucks. Also, idk why Brady is force feeding Moss. I love Randy, but this team won SBs throwing it to whoever was open and not just focusing on one WR. :\

I know, I'm not an x's and o's guy but it seems to me that both rookie te's create some serious matchup problems.

Combination of things could have happened.

1. Brady got caught up in the Revis slouch comments and was trying to make the trash talkers eat their words.

2. Coaching staff/Brady over reacted when Revis got hurt and changed the game plan to go to Moss more than usual. Also Moss ran a lot of underneath routes and unfortunately he has alligator arms because he probably hates going over the middle. Moss should be running fly/post/flag routes to stretch the defense.

3. Brady was trying to help his friend after Moss complained he wasn't appreciated.

Those are all definite possibilities, and Tom will certainly have off days regardless, but I've never seen him so blatantly ignore the open man to try and get the ball to one guy before. He still has his check-down options when the first guy isn't open. Also, props to the Rex for shaking it up and not blitzing as much as everyone expected.

Probably, in the sense of winning 3 super bowls in 5 years, but I think the Patriots can still be relevant and compete every year with the way they do business.

The era of the dynasty talk may be over (although I actually think they have a very good football team this year). However, this team has a VERY bright future as far as I can tell. They have a very young defense that I think may be able to meld together to possibly become elite in a couple of years. They also have two firsts and two seconds in the upcoming draft and the two picks that are not theirs are from very bad teams.

Old era over? Maybe. New era beginning? Most likely.

I hate to throw cold water on a win, but our defense is putrid. You know it's bad when the Bill's got a 3rd and 18 and they flash on the screen that the Bills are 0 for their last 40 on 3rd and 10 or more and then easily make the 3rd and 18 against our D.

As you know, I'm a pretty ridiculous homer but I have no choice but to agree. The defense was not good at all today. My hope is that this was, in fact, near the worst that they play and they'll improve and play good enough for our offense to win games for us. That's my hope anyways.

defense looked horrible. Offense looked great. We wont beat many good teams playing this one sided.

# 1 in offensive DVOA and # 27 in defensive DVOA thru Week 3. Pretty much tells the story, you really can't win being this unbalanced. They're legit SB contenders with a league-average defense, but there are no signs at the moment that they are going to be able to even come close to that. If they're sweating Buffalo at home then I have no reason to have confidence over a single opponent this year with the way the D is playing. Every game will be a dogfight. Everything depends on how quickly these young guys on the defensive side can mature by being thrown to the wolves.

with the recent upgrade of picks from New Orleans that we got from the trade for David Thomas (turning a 7th rounder to a 6th), these are our current 2011 draft picks.

ESPN.com's power rankings have the raders at #28. They're the lowest ranked 1-2 team.

its at least somewhat possible BB could make enough trades for us to end up with 3 1st rounders next year lol

Is anyone else as much of a loser as me and really paying attention to what Oakland and Carolina is doing this year?

Btw, nice that Oakland is 1-3 and Carolina is 0-4.
