Looks like the out-of-division games are

AFCE v. AFCN
AFCS v. AFCW

AFCE v. NFCN
AFCN v. NFCS
AFCS v. NFCE
AFCW v. NFCW

along with the division-rank matchups.

Among the AFC contenders, looks like the Steelers and Broncos won, everyone else lost.

Fan favorite Mosi Tatupu dead at 54. No cause of death yet. Too bad, way too young. It seems like pro football players in general don't seem to have long life spans.

Given the fixed slate of opponents, this is about as good as it gets -- the only non-AFC East opponent on the road is San Diego (and maybe Pittsburgh).

Is this draft making sense to any of you? I follow CFB more than pros and hadn't heard of these picks.

Of course time will tell if this was a good draft for us, but damn, BB sure knows how to set up for the future. Next year, two #1's and two #2's, better postion this years one 1 and 3 2's.

with the recent upgrade of picks from New Orleans that we got from the trade for David Thomas (turning a 7th rounder to a 6th), these are our current 2011 draft picks.

Any idea what happens to your Pats season tickets when you die? Can you keep them in the family or do they get reshuffled back in to someone else? After waiting so long for season tickets it would be nice to be able to pass them along to your kids or something.

i'm pretty sure (at least, this is how it works for the jets so i assume for every team) that if you die, you lose them. you can't pass them down, and the kids or family doesn't have the option to keep them. family friend had a brother with season tickets who died, and they couldn't keep them.

it might be different for the pats though, the Jets had a 29 year waiting list ( before the new stadium ofc) so they wanted to keep it moving.

Awesome.

IMO sitting high up at a football game is pretty underrated, the view from the upper deck is usually superior to anything in the first deck because you can actually see the entire field clearly.

my brother's friend just gave up his season tickets this year and they were up in the 300s. like noodle says, the views from up there were actually pretty good and you are def surrounded by a lot of other good fans up there ime.

You can pass them down when you die but I think it cost 5 grand a ticket just to pass them down, not including the cost of the tickets. So, we'll see about that one.

Yeah, I've sat in the 300's and I actually really like the seats up there. Seeing the whole field and how it develops is pretty awesome for a true football fan. I've sat all around the stadium and even like 12 rows up from the field in the endzone and the 300's are better than that.

The only thing is I hope their not all the way to the right or left. I know they're not in the middle but I don't know how far to the right or left they are. We're getting a packet in the mail in the next week or so that tells us exactly where are seats are.

So, my brother and I went to Season Ticket holder orientation last night. Really great stuff. There were probably 100-150 people there and it was in the Fidelity box, which is very nice. They gave us dinner and then spoke to us about what we need to know being a season ticket holder for the first time (kraft was there and spoke as well, I love that guy). They then let go down onto the field and took pics of me and my bro on the fifty yard line. It was a pretty cool night and more than I expected. Everything was free except for alcohol.

Also, I found out they changed the policy on handing down tickets. If you've had the season tickets for more than 10 years, you can know hand them down to an immediate family member for no charge. I was pretty pysched about this but I can imagine that those on the waiting list wouldn't be happy to hear this change.

Threads been kinda dead. Heres a link to the Martin Sheen narrated short film on the 2001 Pats. Its really really good and a good way to get excited about this season a little more.

hulu link

The interviews and side clips with Brady, Milloy, and Vinatieri are pretty awesome.

I hadn't watched that in awhile thanks for posting it. I had to watch the 04 film as well. I'm so pumped for the season to start. If some of the young guys can perform like I think they're capable of it should be a fun season.

channel surfed the game tonite. Every time I watched for a few minutes there was a roughing the passer penalty. The way the rules are now it's almost impossible to sack the QB without roughing him.
