I think its a bigger loss than Mayo was. Slightly better than losing Revis or McCourty, but maybe no one else on the D is more important than Chandler.

The thing with Mayo and now Chandler is that they have little to no depth behind them. The talent drop off to their replacements is pretty significant.

Thinking about it do the Pats even have a 4th DE on the roster after Jones/Ninkovich/Moore.

The injury shouldnt have an effect on the overall W-L record. Hopefully he is good to go for the Post-season.

Browner making a couple of nice plays already and bringing the enthusiasm is encouraging. Jonas Gray hitting the holes without any hesitation, and looking like he has some good vision for cutbacks also a good sign.

Also Lafail might need a new nickname.

Sick half for Brady. 18-21 (with 2 drops) and 4 TD's. Some baller 3rd and long throws as well.

I thought Lafell was supposed to have bad hands? He's catching everything in sight!

Amazing game by Brady. One of the best I can ever remember for accuracy.

Man what a great game. Can't wait til next week!!

BTW since the KC game, Brady's stats:

69.4 %, 8.81 YPA, 14 TD, 0 INT, 125.4 Rating

Amazing what good play from the O-Line can do

Brady was ridiculous today. It seemed like playaction to lafell was there all day. Really goes to show the progression of the offense that Edelman had a stinker and it was still the best its looked all year.

Gronk at 100% is such a difference maker. The team that played today is the team I was expecting prior to the season.

You know, I usually don't agree with cheering for an injury, but in the case of Lamarr Houston's over-the-top blowout his knee celebration after sacking the backup QB in garbage time when down 4 scores....I made an exception. I laughed and I laughed. What an idiot.

That was amazing, like he just watched someone do this to himself a few weeks ago

By this time I was out back splitting some logs and listening to it on the radio and Scott Golak was going crazy screaming "HE BLEW OUT HIS KNEE, HE BLEW OUT HIS KNEE!!!

The team has performed erratically. But, they've still put themselves in a good position half way through the season.

Pats are in decent enough shape but obv. the next two games are massive. Beat the Broncos and Colts and the #1 or #2 seed seems likely; lose both and they are likely looking at #3 or #4.

the conference games vs. teams you may end up tied with...just massive. Colts game actually might be more important b/c a tie with them seems more likely (especially if we lose to them). feels like even if we beat Denver they would be the favorite for the #1 seed. lose to Denver, beat Indy and I think we become the favorite for the #2

This morning, the Colts don't look all that tough, giving up 51 to the Steelers, so I have to say Denver is still the most important, since holding the tiebreaker over them means not going to Mile High in January.

But, it's still early.

It is early, but if NE loses on Sunday, the #1 seed is all but gone. Even with a win, it's going to be tough to hold onto it.

Was never that worried about the Colts, Luck is amazing but I was never worried about that team too much. Good offenses can score big time on their D.

Broncos open as 3.5 point favorites.

sure, just saying that - looking at our remaining schedule vs theirs - even if we beat them out-kicking their overall record would be tough. We have @ Colts, @ Packers, Lions...we each have @ SD but after this week their schedule looks clearly easier. and they are better than us at this point as well.

KB4Z, you really think Indy is better tha NE?

Even with the harder schedule I would wager the Pats finish with a higher seed that Indy.

yes, right.

Indy I think we are close to either way. @ Colts is a tough game - we beat them and their bye odds look very tough as they would be 2 games + the tiebreaker back. lose to them and it will be a race us vs them vs Baltimore I think

I think for a couple of reasons, @Indy may be a more problematic game that vs Denver at home.

It's often about more than Xs & Os

Pat's home record in general
Denver game is a revenge game for the Pats
Indy game vs Pats is a revenge game for Indy.

Football is an emotional game.
