New England Patriots: Knocking on Seven's Door (Now with Happy Endings) New England Patriots: Knocking on Seven's Door (Now with Happy Endings)

Only saving grace was that I don't think the Bengals knew it was 4th down either, hence the defensive alignment that allowed for a super easy QB sneak.

Buffalo is going to be a real tough challenge, especially if some of the injured guys on D cant go. Hightower, Easley, Revis, McCourty, Chandler Jones all banged up.

And - just for the record - NO only beats TB yesterday because Logan Mankins gets beat like a $2 mule up the middle for a safety late in the 4th.

So what exactly was the rule when Collins fumbled on the fumble return? If the Cincy had recovered that and returned it would they have marked them down where he coughed it up?

Only the fumbling player can advance a fumble by a member of his own team inside two minutes. The Bengals could have returned the fumble for a TD legally.

Where's Salva today? I'm starting to wonder if he's really a Pats fan or has just been trolling us for years.

Salva, I do hope yesterday at least got you over the worry about Jets fans laughing at you. Jets fans will be laughing at exactly no one anytime this season.

My idiot friends who root for the jets couldn't talk enough last Monday. Today they seem to have disappeared though. Typical jets fans.

Browner and Tyms getting activated today. Which two does everyone think go? Id guess Butler and J Davis getting cut with more moves possible later this week.

Well Vellano is one of the cuts. He sucks, but didn't think they had the depth to do that.

Thomkins didn't clear waiver, heads to Oakland.

What's the logic here? Seems like an odd rule

it's the "holy roller" rule, it's there so teams don't start kicking the ball downfield "accidentally"

So that desperate teams don't "accidentally" fumble to keep a play alive. During most parts of the game its terrible risk reward to do so deliberately.

Buchanan to IR was the other move, so 0-2 there

I missed him getting hurt. Did he injure himself celebrating with Arrington?

He had been banged up but played last night. No idea if he's really hurt or not. He had been concussed earlier in the year IIRC, maybe they gave him the choice of being cut or IRd and he chose IRd.

I remember some beat reporters were tweeting that he was out on field early yesterday going through some kind of fitness test to see if he was good to play, so there was something up with him.

Jeff Howe says Browner wasn't activated Sunday because he hasnt learned the defense well enough and he's not at practice today, so might be time to downgrade expectations for him. Might be sitting on the inactive list come gameday.

Really annoying. Was Browner able to practice while on suspension? I wasn't sure.

Good to see that all the really important people are back at practice though. Looks like McCourty might be okay.

Easley isnt there, which might be a problem for this week, they're somewhat thin on the DL. Can always make a move and promote Vellano if need be, but Vellano sucks.

Browner could attend team meetings IIRC, but couldnt practice. Im not convinced he's going to be a factor or be on the team for long.

Yeah, I'd like Easley back of course but it's nice that McCourty, Revis, Hightower, and Jones were there.

McCourty wore a non-contact jersey, not sure if he's going to play.

No. Pretty sure a suspended player can't even be at the facility.
