Revis cut.

Wouldnt mind giving Talib's deal to Revis, seems much less risky.

Been a quiet day or so even by Pats standards.

I was trying the jinx lol.

Really happy with this deal. I hope it turns into a long term deal next year when they have more cap space (I dont know if that even makes a difference tbh).

I was told if we lost Edelman and Talib there was no way to be competitive next year, so lots riding on the Edelman signing!

Revis's Business Manager Tweeting "As of now, nothing has been agreed to with Revis and Patriots." right after reports starting to break is stopping me from enjoying this as much as i should.

Its a big domino to fall. Am i wrong to think BB knew this was coming all along? Decisions on Wilfork and Edelman are probly next.

the news re: Revis broke yesterday, which was before Talib signed, so it's reasonable to think BB knew about this before Talib signed anywhere

at the same time, there was no way BB was going to match that Broncos contract so this was likely a lucky break for BB. unless he actually had a hunch that TB would cut Revis, like, 2 weeks ago.

Jets Luck.

Not a shocker. The more I thought about it. Jets had no shot. He prob still hates us for trading him, Woody Johnson reports that he doesnt want Revis back in the building over his dead body.

Clearly Revis is kcikin it to NYJ. 1yr/12M? Jets couldnt match that? Maybe NYJ wasnt even interested, but seems werid that he takes a 1 year deal. I just smell trouble for NE next year if he has amazing year which will happen. His agents/team always think 3 steps ahead. You guys got a sick player smh typical Jets luck.

I swear Jets are cursed. If TB doesnt suck, the front office doesnt get fired and Revis stays a Buc and obv doesnt become a Patriot. Did anyone think TB would be as bad as they were last year? I swear Jets are cursed.

Plus the main reason we traded him was to avoid the possibility of him walking since we couldnt franshicse him (Thanks Mike T.) and him signing with NE. LOL. Also TB could of afforded him easily this year, and makesyou wonder if that conditional pick wasnt part of the trade would him still be a Buc? LOL Cursed. Why give up on a player that you trade a #1 after 1 year?

I read some guy on twitter saying they knew Revis was getting released long ago and the wheels were in motion for awhile as Revis made it known he was interested in coming here.

If true, all you need to know about what kind of person Revis is. $$$$$$$$$$$$$

I thought it would hurt more Revis going to NE. But I think losing him last year already got over it. If he would of went straight to NE after leaving NYJ that would SUCK. But I am not looking forward to playing him twice a year, maybe 3, Playoffs? LMAO<---Joke. Also watching him pick 6 in Metlife. Ouch.

Speaking as a Jets fan, Did NE really get any better? You just basically swap Revis for Talib. Sure Revis is better, but the year Talib had last year was basically Revis like. But Revis 1/12M is better than 6/57M by a long shot! If you look at it that way....Also you guys cant lose Edleman.

Except for those games Talib got smoked and the games he missed and the risk of suspension he's totally "Revis like."

Also the premise of the article is Revis needed the Jets because otherwise he had only one suitor? That makes no sense.

Wow Revis i cant believe it. I was upset that Talib left but you cant argue with upgrading the position.

Never mind the inherent variance of the NFL, never mind that Brady himself played badly in many of the lossses (and was carried to the Super Bowl by teammates in the '11 AFCCG), never mind that Salva doesnt really have a coherent solution besides signing Talib and Edelman regardless of cap numbers. No rang, so didnt MAXIMIZE the window.

Now the Pats will go into the season as a contender instead of the favorite, so I guess we're supposed to hold our breath and stomp our feet and use hindsight bias to whine about things like the Gronk extension.
god i have such a mancrush on you

if i could choose between talib's deal and revis' deal + 5 kicks to the balls

i'd take the latter. i might hesitate for a second. then i'd laugh and take the latter.

The more I think about it. NE defense is going to be F'N LEGITTTTTT

Revis, McCourty over the top GOOD LUCK!

Chandler off the edge, OJ leading the squad, Jamie Collins is a freak...

The only thing is when you lost Wilfork that was a big hole so they gotta solidify that NT.

I know I'm forgetting about others too. Hightower? IDK maybe i'm biased but for some reason I dont like him. Not hating becuase hes a Pat. Just IDK is he even good? Never saw much.

Jets are screwed.

Yayyy we might get Decker, who doesnt standa chance vs. Revis!!! YIPPIE!

~~~~~~
What really gets me is that people saying "Manish Mehta" that idiot from NYDaily News and others. Saying NYJ are the biggest losers becuase Revis going to NE, and trade is epic faliure...
I totally disagree, We got a 1st who became DROY is Sheldon who is a freak and will be elite Dlineman for 10+years. And still gotta see what we do with the saved capspace. Jets cant predict the future that TB would bail on Revis after 1 year. TB are the real losers. Lost out on 1st/4th and 16M in 1 season which didnt even makethe playoffs they sucked last year to boot...
