I think, given our injuries, we are one of the least talented teams heading into the playoffs. But all we have to do is win at home, go to Denver in the cold, and take our chances against Seattle or what not in the frigid cold of New Jersey, which might include snow. I'll take that chance. Let's just run
hot like the Giants or Ravens for once, who cares?

It's time we binked a Super Bowl that we don't deserve, and throw all the credit to the QB, which in this case is deserved. #letsdothis
Brady doesn't deserve all the credit. He's played really well in stretches, but was carried by the d early and the running game (to some extent, thought he played well vs Baltimore) late. Could be set for a big playoffs depending on matchups though.

Better team heading into the playoffs than the last two SB champs though, for sure.

You missed my point again. Let's win it and give Brady all the credit for Rang #4 and drop dem nuts all over SE even though if we ever got there he would likely be just a part of the machine this year.

I do expect injuries to heal, the Pats to recalibrate, and Brady will be a stat-monster again next year. This year? Just win, baby.

Yeah, Im not in a jihad against SE over Brady being the best QB ever so not really into all that.

Would be super satisfying if they win it and help the legacy for GOAT team, that's for sure.

Since Ridley got Benched for the second time Blount has looked like a new player. Its like some coach went up to him and reminded him that he is 250 llbs and can run people over. I remember at the beginning of the season getting frustrated with him because he would get to the LOS and almost stop looking for a hole, now he just bursts through the whole and doesnt go down with first contact. When he gets to the 2nd level the DB's want nothing to do with tackling him.

As far as playoff hopes go i think they have a realistic chance to make a run. Siliga has stepped and has been that big body in the middle of the line to help stop the run. Run D still isnt as good as it was to start the year but I feel like it definately is improved over the middle part of the season.

With 2 weeks to the next game if McCourty, Dennard and Talib are all rested and back near 100% the pass D should be pretty good.

Also Mankins is a tough SOB. He went down on that play yesterday and one of the other OL was calling for the medical staff to come on. Looked like he was done for the year the way they helped him off the field and into the locker room and the guy was back out playing to start the 2nd half. Didnt he play one season with a torn ACL.

Yeah Siliga has been a big boost. He's not a star or anything, but that Vellano/Jones combo was so bad against the run.

Would like to see McCourty/Harmon as the starting safeties in the playoffs.

there is only one franchise run that has any non-trolling argument against the BB/Brady Pats, and that is the Montana/Young 49ers. Pure results, that one probably gets the edge (similar winning %, 5 rings)

adjust for the FA era though and it's a real debate. if the Pats could have just kept Seymour and Law and Asante etc etc...

Brady is one win away from playing in his 8th AFCCG in his 12 years. 49ers once did the same but that was their best stretch - that's nuts

and - Brady missed a prime year with an elite cast around him.

Agreed, the only possible thing missing is that 4th ring.

So, Bengals win (they are a TD favorite) and we have a rematch with them. that looks like the likely opponent in 2 Saturday's. (btw, I always love the Saturday night game)

Frankly, I'm not sure it matters all that much, KC/CIN/INDY are all sort of in the same bucket. Close enough anyways. the only team we can't play is SD who is probably the worst of that group but again it's close enough. we KC/INDY play first on Saturday, but we won't know if we'll play the winner until the Sunday 1pm SD @ CIN game

I think Id most want to play KC. Indy was the worst of those three teams for the season, but I worry that Indy is improving as Luck adjusts to not having Wayne and Brown plays more over TRich.

I looked back on that week 5 game vs the Bengals and it makes me more confident against meeting them in the playoffs. Just looking at Bengals schedule and final scores its quite clear they are a much better team at home and they beat the pats week 5 13-6 and if you remember Pats were driving at the end of the game to tie it and the heavens opened and we got a monsoon that made passing game much tougher.

Not to mention that game they were without Ridley, Vereen, Amendola and it was before Blount turned into Corey Dillon. Aswell as the whole passing offense being just aids at that time.

And Andre Dropson cut the wrong way when he could have had a TD then they got stopped at the 1. Im not scared of Cincy at all. Talib will lockdown Green and then you've got to rememeber it is lolcincy sports and they'll find a way to implode even if the Pats play poorly.

Bengals aren't a walkover. Pats will be like -4.5 or something. Huge job getting that potential game at home instead of @ Bengals.

100% sure that the Pats offense will move the ball better than they did last time (nit, Amendola did play, just failed to get into the end zone when the Pats were down 13-3). I worry about the screen game with Bernard a lot.

Very, very likely to be a game that goes to the last possession.

I doubt very much Talib will lockdown Green, best case is something like we saw last game. Talib hasnt been as good since hurting his hip and Green is a monster.

I love that two of PM's 'records' he 'set' have been proven to be BS. The NFL wont change them though because hes their golden boy douchebag and god forbid we actually follow the rules for him.

The NFL has admitted he didnt throw 55 TD passes, and he clearly did NOT set the yardage record. Remember when the NFL took away Gronks record TD catch and called it a run? Ya that wont happen for PM even though its the same exact thing.

The good news is we can asterick basically PM's whole season as just a paid product of poor NFL marketing.

Explain how Manning throwing 54 TD passes would get an asterisk? I thought the last record was 50?

The passing yards thing is pretty funny. Someone on Denver should have noticed that since it was like 31-0 and record whoring was the only thing left worth doing.

I do my best to try and not think about that. Can you imagine how hungry Brady and Moss would have been that season coming off that loss? Cassel steps in and wins 11, I am convinced that team could have won 14-15 games and crushed in the Super Bowl given a weak schedule and a weak NFC. But I will stop now before I start to cry.

Because he didnt get 55. Yet what does the record show? 55. Any impropriety at all means the whole thing is a facade. Until they officially change it to 54, the old record stands. Or maybe we should go back to 2007 and count the almost TD passes that Brady got and see what the old record actually was. Then compare and see who had more?

As far as the yards, no way would they let Brady break the record on that BS 'pass', but hey its Peyton manning and he cant win the big game so we will give him records that he didnt actually break.

In poker we always know the huge nits because they use words like aggro, spew, and gamble in their screennames. They think so first level that they think their name will make people give them action even though all they actually do is fold till they have AA.

Everyone meet letsGambool, a huge nit that has fooled no one and is classic level 1 thinking for life. Poker got too hard for this guy like 8 years ago. My read is life got too hard for him even earlier.

Why do you care? This is ******ed. I bet if we re-analyzed every play from every season, records would look drastically different--Brady, Marino, Brees included. But let's nit up the 55th TD, b/c he really only had 54.

When there is conclusive evidence he didnt actually achieve the numbers that are on paper, there is a problem with the paper, regardless of peoples personal belief.
