Not quite that much, but enough for me to be extra happy tonight. LOL at making this post at halftime when Brady is still alive.

Broncos overrated as I have said all week. Without the flukiest first half ever we win in a huge blowout.

As has never changed and proven once again,Tom Brady >>> Peyton Manning

I doubt I'll ever enjoy any regular season game more than the ones with Brady vs Manning. Of course most of the fun derives from the final scores.

It drives me nuts when I hear anyone in Foxboro booing anything.

Also, RIP Ridley.
I've been saying "this is the last straw" for this guy forever, it seems.

Booing after sitting in 0 degree weather to watch the first half "effort" was fine.

I want to like Ridley because of his toughness/haircut but he's killing me with the fumbles. Anyone know what his contract is like? What would we eat in salary cap if we cut him?

eh, the effort was fine. it's not like Ridley and Blount weren't trying.

more KBZ bitching about Gillette -

I took the train, which by itself it only a decent option when weighed against the alternative of sitting in your parking lot/RT 1 for 2 hours after the game. (It's a full hour from Boston to Foxboro which is pretty silly)

the bag check/entrance is absurd. It took us a good 25 minutes to get through security. So, our 6:35pm train from Back Bay got us into our seats at about 8:40pm - we missed the first Broncos possession completely. But, driving would have been even slower.

anyways, my point as always is lol Gillette - all things considered I wouldn't be surprised if it was the worst stadium in the NFL. the construction/design makes it impossible to generate sustained noise, the amenities are poor, access is horrendous. I wouldn't go to any game for the rest of the year if I was handed free tickets.

that venting over, what a ridic game. the offense, considering the elements, was crazy good. the wind was an ally, Peyton just doesn't have a strong arm anymore so when he throws downfield he was forced to be perfect. let's hope if we see him again we get similar conditions. even if we do, it will be a close game.

I'll take 1-1 @ Car and Denver, especially given what every non Broncos team in the AFC currently looks like.

@ Balt is the toughest game left I suppose

If that train got there in an hour you made good time. That's what happens when you have to go the last mile basically through someones backyard on tracks that were abandoned for years.

Ive said it before, lol at anyone who actually parks in the Gillette parking lot. Walk the 20 minutes to a satellite lot, save 90 minutes of time after the game. Also lol at anyone who sits on the Pats side of the field and follows the 30,000 people to the main entrance rather than cutting through the parking lot to the side entrance that never, ever has a line.

The amenities are horrible for a stadium that's not a million years old. I agree with you about all the access stuff, some of that is a function of location and cant really be fixed, but how they managed to recreate Foxboro Stadiums total inability to handle the amount of fans that will attend the game I cant understand.

I was a Ridley fan earlier this year and was frustrated that he was only in a rotation and not getting most of the snaps. But he's a fumbler and really can't be trusted playing most of the snaps. I think they can still use him but not as a full time back.

This a million times. We have it down to a science now and we get in and out pretty easily to be honest. It's a longer walk but we were out very quickly.

Also, I can't really comment on the amenities. They seem fine to me but I'm not coming from much knowledge on the subject as I literally haven't been in any other NFL stadium. What exactly isn't good about the amenities? What do they have elsewhere that they don't have here? Honestly asking as I have no idea.

I kind of want to give Ridley a pass b/c ball handling in general was so hard last night. but, nah.

I sat a few weeks ago in a spot where it was a good 10 minute walk (each way) to get a beer. then say stopped selling beer super early. then we couldn't find any coffee at all.

the scoreboards/replays are lol compared to places like Dallas and Houston.

the security to get in is a joke, they've created a massive bottleneck that's borderline dangerous.

Scoreboard/replays I can't comment on but I've never sat anywhere that it was tough to get to any vendor for anything (I don't drink so I can't comment specifically on beer).

We usually get there pretty early so security isn't typically a problem. We breeze through. How do they do it better in other stadiums?

I would think in other stadiums they just have more entrances or more people working. dunno. it shouldn't be a hard problem to solve.

KBZ,

Seems like a lot of the issues you had could be solved by getting an earlier train. Why not get one at 5:30 instead of 6:30? If you get there early, there's plenty to do around the stadium, pregame, get to your seats when you want, etc. Getting through security a bit earlier can make all the difference, and I imagine that's the case at most stadiums.

If you're gonna drive, +1 to parking within walking distance and not at the stadium.

there is only one train (lol, b/c it's so crowded it's standing room only). it's such an amateur hour train as well, I walked to the end car on the way home and I nearly pulled a muscle climbing in b/c the first step was 4 feet off the ground. some girls couldn't even climb in.

I've driven plenty of times, I don't think I've ever actually parked in the official lot. they can still be awful to get out of (I've sat in an idling car for 1 hour+ trying to get out)

though, I don't doubt that a couple smaller lots (on the north side of route 1) are more optimal.

I hated BB's decision to take the wind in OT, but I held my tongue, because "In BB We Trust".

As usual, he was right and I was wrong.

Also, I was watching with a bunch of fantasy football guys who would ask me ever other play, "Where's Dobson?" I had no answer for them. Anybody?

KT playing over Dobson was weird, reversing the emerging trend. I have no idea. maybe they thought he was a better matchup for whatever reason.

Weird, would have thought there would be earlier trains available for sure.

YTF,

Seems like Dobson played 35 snaps in the first half and only two after halftime. Can't find anything injury related at this point but it's early...

"According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, Dobson didn't play on the Patriots' final five drives Sunday, but it's unclear at this stage if that development was injury-related."

I think it's more likely they are focusing on Gronk, Amendola and Vereen since they are all healthy (for now). Thompkins looked pretty good once Rogers Cro went out as well.

I still dont like it.

I understand all the reasoning behind it and the weather, but Im not handing Peyton Manning the ball against this beat up Pats defense willingly.

I took the train one time and I can confirm it's terrible so I can't argue with you there. North side of route 1 is definitely the way to go if you're driving though, park at what used to be Christina's. It's a walk but you get out fast.

Train is super useful for weeknight games to avoid trying to fight through rush hour for the right to fight through Gillette traffic.

They dont check tickets on the way back so it runs at like 200% of capacity. I always have a seat going down, by the time I get there from the nosebleeds 0% chance of ever finding a seat.

Remember me whining about us getting jobbed by the timekeeper in Carolina?

In his open today, Mad Dog Russo says Schefter mentioned this in a tweet last week (the jobbing, not my post about it).
