Maybe not the best example, but I wasn't being serious. I loved Bo. Either way, no way Schu would want Bo with his pedestrian record at a low level school. Schu is that guy at the bar that always goes after the one 10 and fails when there's slutty 7s everywhere.

So there is pretty reliable word (Like, Lee Barfknect, not message boards) that the new AD has been hired will be announced sometime early this week.

Now the actual message board rumors are UCF's Danny White. (Yeah, I know). I'm not exactly buying it, I think we'll get someone more experienced rather than settling for the Scott Frost package deal

Of the list he put out it, there rumor mill I've heard was Oregon which fit the P5 requirement.

I really don't see how Frost is settling. I mean him, Schiano, and Chip Kelly seem like the top cfb HC candidates.

Schiano? lolol

Would love Chip obviously. Kyle Whittingham another guy I'd throw money at. Many of our most delusional fans think that Shaw or Peterson or Patterson would come here.

I would rather throw 8M at a known top guy than 3.5M at Frost.

Wittingham is Mormon and never leaving Utah. Like coaches just don't leave good P5 programs for other P5 programs unless it's to USC / OSU / Bama.

I definitely get the reservation regarding Frost but look at the results. Easy to claim LOOK AT ASK THE TALENT IN CENTRAL FL but like the entire argument against most head coaches is they don't maximize talent.

I also don't get the hate on Schiano. Turned a total dumpster fire into a very respectable program which turned back into a dumpster fire the second he left.

He has exactly 1.5 years of experience as a head coach and has won precisely nothing. This year he has been beating up on mediocre/bad teams.

Steam rolling bad teams is what good teams do. Obviously what you are saying is true, but I've watched 2x UCF games and the team is well coached and plays with intensity.

Yes, I'd rather have Chip or Wittingham but I don't see it happening.

I'm already resigned anyways to the fact that it's going to be Frost. But that sucks. I wish our athletic department would start acting like a blue blood with millions of dollars to spend instead of some mid-major

Playing in the B1G West, this is really all a Nebraska coach has to do. Then try to get lucky in the Champ game.

Max

Next year Nebraska plays:
Colorado
Wisconsin
Michigan
Ohio State
Michigan State
Iowa

How many of those teams are bad?

A) Shawn Eichorst let Delaney put his dick in all his holes when he agreed to that schedule
B) You need to go 7-2 minimum in conference and beat Wisconsin to win the West. It'll always be Wisconsin you need to have your sights on or else there will be zero trips to Indy.

I don't know about next year, but I really believe Nebraska can adopt the Wisconsin strategy and do it better than they can. Wisconsin doesn't have a real natural advantage over most of the other B1G west teams.

Nebraska is currently the most talented B1G west team.

I agree with all of this and it's why I'm saying we need to pull our heads out of our asses and stop acting like a mid-major. We are still the program with the most clout in the West. So hire a real ****ing coach.

This may be the worst Nebraska team I've seen in my lifetime.

Until Callahan came along, I had seen nothing but success at NU. Devaney build it up and passed it to Osborne who passed it to Solich. Looking back, we probably should have given Solich another year or two after he replaced his coordinators, but it is what it is. Callahan tried to change everything about Nebraska. Phasing out the walk on program and moving away from a power running game.

I feel our next head coach needs to rebuild that culture and be here long term to maintain that success. Frost could be that guy to be here for the long term.

This also needs to be about the coordinators and assistant coaches. I think Harbaugh takes less money so his assistants are taken care of. Osborne was so successful partly due to the fact his assistants never left. I don't think we can keep assistants around forever, but maybe long enough so their replacements are ready when they do leave.

This coaching search needs to be about the long term and not just a quick turnaround.

Like firing Solich period was dumb, he went ****ing 10-3, won a conference played in a natty and they would have won in 1999 if they played FSU.

The person who ruined NU football was Harvey Perlman.

His press conference is winning me over. Definitely is a fit. And this guy isn't gonna take any of the bull**** that currently plagues our department, seems like he is gonna come in and just kick some ass. There will be some big changes I'd bet. And Tim Miles - bye-bye

Yah this was a make or break season for miles, although I think of the team is somehow fun to watch and attendance is good he will get more leeway.

If he misses the NIT it's probably gg.

But yah only negative is age but the pool of candidates just isn't that big and he was likely the best fit.
