Nobody knows anything right now unfortunately. It could be anywhere on the spectrum from "nothing" to "rut roh." Armstrong's comments about the police conversation make it seem like this is nothing but again, who knows.

I'd give details but I don't want to post anything that would get out and around and whatnot, and my source is someone whose trust I very much value. But let's put it this way. If this gets "swept under the rug" before Iowa and Tommy and Westerkamp play, and then the facts surface afterwards...it's going to be really bad for a lot of people. Best case scenario these two get suspended, or handled however it's truly appropriate, and we move on as a program. Really don't need any sort of this nonsense at all right now.

The timeline for the police investigation to finish and charges, if any, are filed, is supposedly at least a month if not more. So we're probably not going to hear anything and things will go on as normal until then, for better or worse. I fear for worse.

Any insight into Riley's history with this sort of thing? Is he a 'suspend immediately because it's the right thing to do' kind of guy or more of a 'let's wait for the legal process to play out, players have rights too' guy?

As an athletic department we typically handle things really well, kicking guys out and whatnot, but no idea what Riley's staff brings into this

Well, that was fun.

This team was really coming together at the end of the year but couldn't overcome all the mistakes in the end. Tommy's head definitely wasn't in the game and I need to look at the replay to see what was going on with some of those penalties.

I hope Patrick O'Brien turns out to be the real deal.
