Fun game to watch except for the finish. If that last pass falls incomplete, everyone feels a lot better about the game.

The offensive line needs to improve a lot for us to do anything this year. We need to open holes for the backs and give Tommy more time to throw.

I thought Armstrong did a pretty good job for the most part. His accuracy on short throws was better than last year. Needs to be better in his decision making though. H's got to figure out quicker to run or throw it away.

Run defense was good, pass defense not so much. BYU did a good job of finding holes in the zone, and was able to catch a couple of jump balls when they were covered. Pass rush was adequate, but they left a couple of gaps that made for some long runs by the qb.

I thought the coaching was pretty good over all. They made adjustments at halftime that got us back in the game. I liked the play calling, but execution needs some work.

There was zero push from the D-line in the first half, Taysom had time to pick us apart. I was pretty disappointed in that although things did get better in the 2nd half.

Mostly though it was refreshing to go through a horrendous 2nd quarter and not have it snowball and end up in an embarrassing blowout. Baby steps. This is a very winnable west division, but at the same time this isn't necessarily a year that I would expect much from.

JFC. Can't wrap my mind around that call on 3rd down. So ****ing awful.

It was inexcusable. Now the meltdown is in full force, we have petitions on change.org for ****'s sake.

Alex Lewis was allegedly blowing kisses at Nebraska fans and yelling "I'm sorry we suck!" as he was heading to the tunnel after the game.

Riley said the 3rd down was a run-only bootleg, which doesn't seem to match up with the actions of the linemen and tailback on that play, so that's the controversial talking point, but the reality is that that entire 4-down sequence was terrible. With the conditions the way they were and Tommy playing the way he was and with a 13-point lead AND with Janovich and Ozigbo playing relatively well, there's no reason why we shouldn't have been running a 60/40 run/pass ratio in the 4th quarter. And of course then there's the complete defensive meltdown in the 4th quarter.

This is pretty ****ing terrifying.

I don't think he lied based on the coaches and players comments and whatnot, I think there was just a huge communication breakdown. Ostensibly just watching you're led to believe that a pass was certainly not ruled out. Which again, that too is on Riley. Your job as a coach is to convey to your team the situational requirements of important plays like that.

Good thing you won't go 9-4 this year.
