I expect this season to go much like last season did but with a softer schedule.

2 losses I'll be happy
1 or 0 losses I'll be ecstatic

Why? (1) Ohio State and Wisconsin are off our schedule this year, (2) we get Northwestern and Michigan State at home, (3) Michigan is @ Michigan State, @ Northwestern, and might also lose at home to Ohio State, and (4) we have our best offense in 20 years if not more.

I'd expect the opposite. We should be pretty good at CB, nickel, and dime. Safeties are a concern. DL is a monstrous concern, esp DT. LB will be much more athletic, but mistake prone. Pelini D will be too complicated for this young group. Going to be tons of shootouts.

Tried to sit down and watch the spring game on TiVo yesterday and got ultra bored within 15 minutes. In terms of actual football (i.e., non-Jack Hoffman stuff, which was awesome), what developments did I miss? I heard Tommy Armstrong fumbled twice? No injuries I assume? Is Zaire Anderson and/or Mohammed Seisay gonna be worth a darn this year? What about David Santos, Corey Cooper, Charles Jackson, or Harvey Jackson? Had my eye on those last three for a couple years now waiting for them to bust out. A couple of them were 4 stars coming out of HS if I'm not mistaken.

I really liked how they implemented the Oklahoma-esque drill in the first quarter. I was more interested in watching that than the scrimmage.

ESPN's Uni Watch wrote a short article today about Nebraska possibly debuting fruit stripe jerseys (think those hideous new Adidas basketball jerseys) in Week 1 due to some Facebook picture they came across. I'm in favor of the occasional alternate uniform but not in this case. Also didn't like the three stripes on the players' shoulders at Saturday's scrimmage but that might just be a practice uniform thing.

stripes are practice jersey only. hard to tell much of anything with the defense b/c the guys I would project to start on the DL (Randle, Valentine, and Gregory) did not play other than Ankrah and they were just mixing and matching from the entire roster rather than playing all the 1s together. QBs in the 1H had all day to throw, WRs were pretty wide open most plays.

Yeah IDK, that's such a rough situation to put yourself in and to put coach Bo in. The most telling thing is the fact that you were just given the opportunity of a lifetime and THAT is how you respond??? Drunkenly beating a guy to a pulp? If the charges get dropped I can see Bo giving him another chance actually. I wouldn't be a huge fan of that decision but I wouldn't be really upset either.
