I'm fine with it now. Were there other guys who probably would have guaranteed greater success? Probably

But now that he has gone undefeated, won a conference championship, and been the top target of Florida and at least one other school, I have no choice but to be on board.

Really it comes down to this: When Moos was hired I was impressed. That guy is tremendous. I trust him. And I guess he trusts Frost. So I'm all in. Have no choice.

I am calling Davison the Director of Former Player Personnel.

His job now is to keep Jason Peter and god knows who else away from Scott's office so he can do his job. One of the downsides of the hire is that every former player is now going to think they have a right to a hotline straight to the head coach and - sorry - that's now how it's gonna work. So Davison is the buffer that tells everyone to **** off.

I agree, people need to leave the man alone and let him work.

Women won the Natty in volleyball last night. I love it when we crush Florida in championship games.

If Nebrasketball could have hit a shot at the end of the game it would have been one of the greatest non-football days in Husker history.

Yah he had to do it, was probably losing his scholarship next year.

He's going to ****ing crush the combine, get drafted too high, and likely not succeed.

Huskers dismantling Michigan right now. Playing great on both ends of the floor.

Another good win for the Huskers.

Wisconsin isn't that good this year, but down 11 with 10 min to go, NU went on a 10-0 run and just ran away with it down the stretch.

This is a really fun team to watch and they have a shot at a double bye in the B1G tourney as well as a shot at the NCAA tourney. And maybe finally win a game there.

Frost came in and took a class that was ranked 89th after some decommits and finished up with the #22 class in the nation. That's pretty damn solid.

Future is real bright but next year is gonna be rough. Tough schedule, new system etc...

I think we need to view being "tough" and making a bowl game with a win over Wisc or Iowa as a good season.

BUT season after next we might be firing on all cylinders with a soft schedule!

Scott Frost's Plan to Lead Nebraska out of the Darkness

I can't wait until football season.

The Royals suck so there's not much for me to be excited about sports wise until the fall.

Good article. You guys will most likely be good starting in '19, so what's a realistic prediction for the upcoming season? 8-5? 7-6?

I think 7-6 would be a good year with our tough schedule.

We have some talent. We just have to see how fast they pick up the new system.

Yeah I mean the lack of conditioning can take a full year to recover from.

It all depends on QB play and defense though, we have an incredible WR corps and if Gebbia can be decent we can shock some teams, but the schedule is really really tough.

If we pass the eyeball test and make a bowl game I'll be happy.

I mean the quadrangle of hate is a real thing, gotta beat Minnesota / Wisconsin / Iowa and we have a great first season.

I just watched the spring game. Everyone looks pretty raw, but there were some promising things...

I like the tempo of the offense. One of my pet peeves of the old system is when the offense lined up to run a play then everyone stopped to look at the sideline. Now the play is called, they make sure everyone is set, and then they run the play.

QB play looked pretty good. I think a lot of that is the system. Plays run quickly, and passes get out fast. Martinez can really run, and he's a decent passer. Gebbia throws well, and showed good mobility.

Use of the tight ends. They will be an integral part of the offense and they looked solid.

Hard to tell how good the defense will be as well as the offensive line. Line play will be a work in progress. Hopefully we can get back to the pipeline mentality where the upperclassmen start and teach the underclassmen the ropes as they learn the system and build strength. And it will take a while for the defense to pick up a new system and play it well.

shhhhh Mr AD. You are a LONG way from the Buckeyes and *ichigan running scared. I know that the Pac10 schools didn't care that much about football and what AD's thought/said - but you are with the big boys now. Know your role. Upon review it looks like the only thing running scared are the ***** and **** recruits. As has been said many times before, Frost is a great coach - but he might find recruiting at UCF much easier than to Nebraska.

His 2017 class at UCF was 55th.

He managed to salvage this 2018 class that is ranked 22nd.

Recruiting will be fine.
