I wish they had shown the last replay they showed once or twice more (or froze it when the runner's elbow was down). Ball was in a vertical orientation, and while I can't say I'm certain it was not in, it certainly was questionable. I could sort of buy inconclusive, but not that replays confirmed the call.

ball was vertical with the foremost edge of the ball basically on the goal line.

there's no way allen > shephard since vikings would be no worse off playing 10 men rather than starting allen. he makes zero plays, is always three steps behind in coverage, and cannot tackle. however cook looks equally bad, so i don't really know what to do.

we outplayed NE the first three quarters, couldn't execute / ran bad on short conversions, and wtf is with every close call going against us and being so minisculely close that replay can't overturn even though it should (or replay overturns even when it 100% shouldn't). don't feel as bitter by the end though because our defense just could not stop them and they legit took the game from us.

Our schedule gets easier here on out. Tjax for 100+ pass & rush yards each game? Run Tjax Run!

That's why the refs only said that the call stands, instead of saying the call was confirmed.

While that might be true, that's not the conversation that was going on.

Look to what willie said. 90% conclusive I think was his phrasing, and that's the comment of his I was talking about.

I think Allen is getting too much hate. He is being forced into a role he is not ready for, but really hasn't been that bad. Outside of the Tate play, which who are we kidding was super lucky he was good in coverage today and was good in coverage last week. He sucks at tackling, but he isn't thaaaaaaat bad.

Also BJGE's 2nd TD was about as much of a TD as ADP's. They were both probably a little short, but couldn't get overturned.

I would have felt worse about the AD TD if he hadn't actually scored the play before

Remember when we used to actually get pressure on the quarterback? Yeah me neither.

Good news: probably just a cut that needed stitches, no concussion, Favre should be ready to go next week!

moss press conference can be found on vikings.com

he said hes not answering questions rest of the yr, when he addresses media he will be talking about what e wants to basically, not fielding dumbass questions.

Said he was trying to tell vikings some of the Pats tendencies but the staff didnt really give his words enough credit until after it already happened.

Said he knows how the Pats operate and Vikings leave a lot of play / practice / film study on the table, or w/e which is basically him just saying, jesus that chilly dude is a ******.

Moss will more than likely be a Patriot in 2011

The whole 4 minutes was him praising the NE org and the best coach in the league, BB.

This was awesome. He's praising NE, NE, NE, then slips in Vikings leave stuff on the table (undone) and then goes back to praising the NE way of doing things.

3rd down missed tackle on Woodhead during the Pats final drive was brutal

Man, I thought Phil Mackey was pretty good for a radio guy but he's been in full tard mode on Twitter the last couple days. He keeps defending Childress and trashing Moss. Plus he said his favorite band was Journey.

In the sense that it was a bad play in a super high leverage situation, yes.

I don't think it was that bad though. RB 1v1 vs. CB in the open field with room to work is advantage offense. That play was the Pats coaching staff owning the Vikings staff more than it was poor execution by Allen.

I think we are just spoiled from years of Toine.

My take, from twitter:

Quote:
Reality: '09 = Good, not great, team running well vs. easy competition. '10 so far = avg. team running bad vs. v. tough competition.
Their remaining schedule is much easier than what they've played though.

That play wasn't exactly "lucky". Brady made a great play, great throw and Tate worked hard to create separation and make a play.

Brady made an amazing play. Great effort by Tate too. Doesn't mean it wasn't lucky.

You have no idea wether this was in Belichicks gameplan or not, only Brady/Belichik does, and since he has won 3 superbowls and is the greatest coach ever, I think we should just assume that it was.

Brady is running to his left, only has like a tenth of a second to survey the field and manages to make an absolutely perfect throw. It is certainly a testament to his skill that he was able to do that. I don't think he completes that pass much over 50% though and making an absolutely perfect throw that allowed Tate to easily avoid the 2 defenders and score is an even lower percentage.

That is all I'm saying. Basically every big play is "lucky." That is why they don't happen often.

Twitter reports coming in that the Vikings have waived Moss.

If true, LOLOLOLOLOL

I'm going to laugh so hard if (when?) the Pats turn Moss and a fourth round pick into Moss, Branch and a 3rd.
