in green bay he couldnt make up his mind quickly enough + the fact that TT drafted rodgers and he was in his last contract year. Then in NY he obv was not wanted and wanted out of NY so he retired (could get released) so he could play for the team that he desired, i think he earned the right to not be traded around to a team the packers saw fit late in his career. bty he will dominate in minnesota if healthy, look what kerry collins could do in tenn last year.....yea kerrry collins

A lot of that drama is caused by reporters making up stories though.

below average imo

favre sure loves his dumpoffs. yac, baby
-- season long dyar doesn't invalidate my point. given how poorly he played in the last few games of the season it's not really a stretch to say he may have been around 10-12 prior that. not great, but certainly not bad

-- i know that qbs who get lots of yardage via yac are generally performing worse than their stats may suggest, but accumulating yac doesn't mean he can't be playing reasonably well, or even extremely well. in 2006 49% of tom brady's yards came from yac and htis is prior to wes welker. it was simply of a function of the plays the pats were running as well as the quality of receivers that they had. i can't speak to these factors for the jets of last season but his numbers through week 12 can't just be written off b/c he had a lot of yac

edit: also, 4 of those td's were thrown when the cardinals were w/n 14 pts

the yac was just icing. the main reason i posted that link was to show his ay/a, which was 30th out of 40. that means he was throwing a lot of short passes, which would lead to an inflated completion %.

He's a risk-taker though and a bad game manager with the lead (See Indy @ Houston, 2008 for one of the worst examples of game-management and decisionmaking of all-time and no that isn't hyperbole). But if you need someone who isn't afraid to go balls-to-the-wall and get vertical and throw downfield, Sage is that dude, late and down by a couple scores.

I don't think many people are that familiar with Sage but I saw all his performances last year as a local Houstonian and I believe he is basically as valuable as Favre at this point in Favre's career. THe difference between the 2 apparently is that Sage is not an ego-centric douchebag of epic proportions.
this is my thoughts too. further, from what ive seen, i think sage is a pretty good qb when hes not having brain farts. mebbe those will subside as he gets more experience as well.

And after just 1 show it has probably already earned this title. What a trainwreck and it couldn't have happened to a better douche.

Looks like Favre is going to drag this out to keep the spotlight on his massive ego. He still wouldn't commit to coming back when it's obvious that he is. I can't wait till the NFC season when all of the Vikings fans realize that Favre is nothing better than a bottom 10 QB. It's going to be a bigger trainwreck than Joe Buck Live.

If he is bottom 10, that might still be better than what we have had at the QB positiobn since Chidress got here. If its worse than what we've had, it will likely spell the end of Chillyball & the "kick-ass offense". I'm fully prepared for whatever happens & am looking forward to see how it plays out.

This report says Favre has reached a contract agreement with the Minnesota Vikings. He will be at training camp and will have his own private suite away from all the other players.

Favre is a bad horror movie villain that won't die plus increasingly terrible sequels.

Let's see what it seems will happen...

Tarvaris out of Minnesota? Cool.

Chilly out if this season tanks after this move? I can live with that.

Favre retiring once and for all pretty much guaranteed after the season? Unless he has an awesome year, this is probably a good thing. He gets to play the Pack and have a good shot at winning right away with the Vikes.

I'm failing to see the downside, unless we consider the possibility that T-Jax at least physically would seem to be better for 16 games, but if Favre's surgery worked and he can play the way he did for most of last season, it'll at least be an entertaining season.

Now, if Favre has his own separate area remains to be seen. Didn't say anything about that in the report, only that a contract is rumored to be in place. I would normally say "wait until it's official", but so far all the "rumors" have been true...

I'm going to bet we keep all four QB's. Jackson is the only one who really knows the offense well, it'd be tough to dump Booty and you obviously can't get rid of Rosenfels.

I'm not sure if this has been discussed yet, but what do you think Favre will give Booty for #4? Or will JD just give it up?

Used pair of Wranglers jeans.

That probably isn't going to be an issue as Favre is going to be taking Booty's spot on the roster.

YOU'RE A PRO QB! I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DIVE TO CATCH A PASS!

Thanks a lot, now I have to go home and change, jackass!"

I just threw up in my mouth when I saw this. Favre played most of his career in this same offense. Rosenfels will be ok if anything happens to Favre.

TJ is about as useful as the wart on my foot. He doesn't work hard or study hard. He has no composure under pressure. His accuracy sucks if he has to throw the ball more than 15 yards. I think he has a shot to start for zero NFL teams if Chilly cuts him.

I wouldn't be surprised if the let TJ go & keep Booty. I am rooting for that to happen & I have heard local media with sources saying this might be what happens. Addition by subtraction imo. FWIW, Favre will wear whatever # he wants.
