I heard a completely unsubstantiated and almost certainly false rule that the Vikings had a trade in place for VJAX but that it wasn't quite official yet. I was super excited. Sorry for passing along completely worthless information.

The idea of Favre ending his career by going 0-3 and just giving up doesn't seem likely. But I do agree that it's hard to see him playing for a loser down the stretch.

It totally slipped my mind that WE would be eligible for the 3rd round compensatory pick in 2012 should Vjack play 1 year here and leave. That makes a HUGE difference imo.

Sign him to a 1 year deal, if it works out, resign him to a multi year deal next year. If Rice comes back and plays decent, sign him as well and cut Berrian(who is due like 7 mil next year I think)

yeah, that's probably why SD is asking a lot for him. There must be a lot of posturing going on right now, both between the two teams and between us and VJ's agent. We'll know for sure by tomorrow's deadline. His value declines significantly at that point.

Baskett, Vjax, same thing. Hopefully Percy's out next week so we can get back to our 3TE sets (Dugan & Kleinsasser baby!) plus Berrian & Baskett. Then when Favre throws another 3 INT it'll be all his fault and espn can write more "Favre dooms vikings" headlines.

Baskett and Lewis aren't washed up, they just aren't very good. That said I'd way rather have Baskett getting snaps than Lewis.
